The 1st Tay Ho Ward Sports Congress in 2025

HNP - On the morning of October 30, at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho Ward People's Committee solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Tay Ho Ward Sports Festival - 2025.

The congress gathered more than 700 athletes from agencies, units, schools and armed forces in the area, creating a vibrant, enthusiastic atmosphere full of sportsmanship. This is an important political - cultural - sports event, marking the strong development of the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", aiming to build Tay Ho people to develop comprehensively - physically healthy, spiritually rich.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Vice Chairman of Tay Ho Ward People's Committee Nguyen Viet Cuong emphasized: "The first Tay Ho Ward Sports Congress is not only a sports festival for all people but also an opportunity to demonstrate the strength of solidarity, the will to rise up, and the spirit of persistent training of cadres and people. Thereby, contributing to the successful implementation of the movement of All people uniting to build a cultural life and the goal of building a civilized, rich, beautiful and livable Tay Ho ward".

The opening ceremony was brilliant and full of emotions with a parade of 16 blocks, gathering more than 700 athletes and the public. The festival was lively and attractive with lion dances, health care for the elderly, cheerleading, Taekwondo martial arts, etc., elaborately staged, demonstrating the youth, sportsmanship and pride of Tay Ho people.

At the Games, athletes competed in 11 sports, suitable for all ages, from teenagers to the elderly. All demonstrated the spirit of "Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility - Progress", contributing to dramatic and attractive matches, spreading the passion for sports to all classes of people.

Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Xuan Tai and Chairman of Tay Ho Ward People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Tinh presented souvenir flags to units participating in the congress.

Not only a health training festival, the 1st Tay Ho Ward Sports Festival is also an opportunity to discover and nurture young talents, aiming for high-performance sports, and at the same time building a solid foundation for the ward's strong sports.

After the Congress, the ward will select the best athletes to participate in the 11th Capital Sports Congress in 2025, contributing to affirming the position and sports achievements of Tay Ho ward on the capital's sports map.
