Dai Loc organizes civil defense drills

Participating in the exercise were Colonel Le Trung Thanh - Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Civil Defense Exercise Steering Committee; Colonel Mai Kim Binh - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huu Ich - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff/Provincial Military Command, along with leaders of the district, communes/towns, functional branches, departments and units.

The DTPTDS phase of Dai Loc district in 2024 with the theme of responding to and overcoming the consequences of floods, search and rescue and being ready to respond to storm No. 4. The phase is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 is a mechanism operation exercise, phase 2 is a practice of responding to natural disasters and search and rescue. In which, phase 1 is a mechanism operation exercise, conferences of the Party Committee and the government of Dai Loc district take place to assess and evaluate the situation, deploy civil defense tasks to respond to floods, search and rescue and be ready to respond to storm No. 4. Phase 2 is a practice of responding to natural disasters and search and rescue.

This is also an opportunity for the district's functional forces to promote their role in propaganda and mobilization of the masses to deploy measures to prevent natural disasters, search and rescue; improve the ability to direct, manage, coordinate people's evacuation, search and rescue, overcome consequences, handle the environment, prevent epidemics, and coordinate humanitarian relief activities after natural disasters.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the drill, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung, Head of the Steering Committee of the Quang Nam Province Drill, affirmed: Over the past years, Quang Nam has proactively and actively carried out the work of preventing, combating, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, and searching and rescuing. The province has always paid attention to and invested appropriately in human resources, materials, and budget for the construction of civil defense works, and prepared facilities and materials for the work of preventing, combating natural disasters, and searching and rescuing.

This exercise contributes to improving the leadership, direction, organization and command capacity of Party committees, authorities, Civil Defense - Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command Committees at all levels. At the same time, it improves the capacity and advisory role of agencies, units, departments and branches; coordination and cooperation between forces and the ability to mobilize resources according to the "4 on-site" motto in civil defense.
