Agents unanimously 'accuse' the company selling online study cards of not being able to access the website

Company blocked phone number, no solution

The online learning card provider is the Online Education Technology Development Joint Stock Company (transaction office on the 3rd floor, Provincial Labor Culture Building, No. 9 Hang Nan, Lam Son Ward, Thanh Hoa City).

Previously, VietNamNet newspaper published an article related to parents spending money to buy online study cards for their children but being unable to access the website. Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document assigning departments, branches, and Nghi Son town to inspect, verify and clarify the content of the reflection.

In recent days, many card distributors for the Online Education Technology Development Joint Stock Company have called reporters to "accuse" the company of signs of fraud and property appropriation. For example, the company sold cards to the distributors but there was an error, they could not access the website and did not resolve the issue. They even blocked the customer's phone number and closed all contact groups....

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Trang (born in 1996), residing in village 6, Hoang Dong commune, Hoang Hoa district) said that around October 2022, she was introduced by the company to participate as an agent distributing online learning cards.

At first, Ms. Trang joined the 5 million contract package (equivalent to 10 cards) and was still able to access the website. But when she spent 120 million VND to continue buying cards and selling them to schools for students, she immediately received feedback that the cards were faulty, and the website sometimes worked, sometimes not.

“The time to receive feedback from students was around the beginning of 2023, at that time I reported to the company, they said they would fix it, but it never happened. Until around June 2023, the company announced that the website was burned again,” said Ms. Trang.

According to Ms. Trang, when the company reported the website was "burned", her agent had sold almost all the cards to students. Up to now, she has had to refund about 60 million VND for the cards sold. The remaining cards were sold through many different channels, so she still doesn't know who to return them to.

The company closed 2 websites by itself.

“I have contacted the company’s board of directors many times to resolve the matter, but they keep putting it off. I called Mr. Hieu (director), but he blocked my number. The company’s clubs and groups have also been deleted, so now we don’t know who to call.

The agent spends money to buy the card, has a contract with the company. If the card cannot be sold, we are responsible. This way, the card sold is faulty, the company closes the website itself, leading to students not being able to access the class, the company must be responsible for refunding us.

The company has taken hundreds of millions of dong from us through the card purchase contract, and now they have blocked our phone number. We cannot contact them now. It is no different from them defrauding us of our property,” Ms. Trang said indignantly.

Like Ms. Trang, Ms. Hoang Thi Nu (born in 1967), residing in Xuan Quan village, Thieu Cong commune, Thieu Hoa district, said that she joined the 20 million VND package. After that, she introduced her relatives to buy cards, totaling nearly 250 million VND. When she received the card, she could not access the study program, and Ms. Nu could not contact the company to resolve the issue.

“If I lose 20 million, it’s okay, but the people I introduced, they lost a lot of money, there was a family of a father and son who paid 100 million, they come to my house every day to get it back. This is the company’s fault, but now they are not solving it. Hundreds of agents with transaction amounts of billions of dong, they tricked us into selling cards and then locked their websites and disappeared.

We are ignorant people, the first thing we need to do is report it to the press. After that, the agents will simultaneously submit a petition to the authorities and the police to investigate the fraud and property appropriation of the company director," said Ms. Nu.

Previously, speaking with VietNamNet , Mr. Tran Van Hieu - Director of Online Education Technology Development Joint Stock Company, said that the company was established in 2021. After making study cards for 5 subjects (Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry), it was also the time when the Ministry of Education and Training changed the textbook program.

At this time, the company turned to making 10th grade exam review cards to replace the previous 5-subject cards. However, when the exam review cards were released, the program ended (textbook changes - PV), forcing the company to close the 2 online learning websites above, resulting in students not being able to access the system.

Spending money to buy online study cards for their children, parents are shocked and cannot access the website . After buying online study cards, for the past year, many students in Thanh Hoa have not been able to access the website system to study.
