Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station: Dynamically developing with modern journalism trends

After nearly 70 years of construction and development, Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station is always proud to be formed and grown up in Thai Nguyen land - the cradle of Vietnam's revolutionary press. Journey of nearly 70 years of building waves of trust

Continuing the tradition from Viet Bac Radio Station, on September 2, 1977, the first radio program was broadcast - Bac Thai Radio Station was born with Tay - Nung language radio programs, Dao language radio programs, Vietnamese general news and music programs.

In 1990, the Station changed its name to Bac Thai Radio and Television Station. On September 2, 1992, the Station officially broadcast its first television program, marking the full presence of both audio and visual media in the province. In 1997, Thai Nguyen province was re-established, and since then the Station has been called Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station.

After nearly 70 years of construction and development, Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station has overcome many difficulties and challenges from only being responsible for broadcasting. Up to now, the Station has gathered all 4 types of journalism of a multimedia media agency (radio; television; electronic information page and content on social networking platforms; PT-TH special issue).

Over the years, the Station has always focused on improving the quality of radio and television programs to meet the needs of information, entertainment, and improving the people's knowledge. Currently, FM Radio Channel 106.5 MHz broadcasts 17 hours/day, of which the self-produced time is nearly 8 hours/day, and TN1 Television Channel broadcasts 24 hours/day, with the self-produced time reaching 4.2 hours/day.

Each year, the Station produces and broadcasts about 130 topics and columns; nearly 1,500 ethnic language programs; 300 music programs; about 2,000 news programs in the province with tens of thousands of news, articles, reports, reflections, interviews... Maintains stable live broadcasting of the Rush Hour program twice a day; actively sends collaboration with VTV1 and VTV5 of Vietnam Television Station more than 100 programs/year.

In addition, the station is maintaining the production of 03 game shows, actively producing a number of documentaries and coordinating the organization of events, live television programs, and producing products serving the political tasks of the province. Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Special Edition is published 3 issues/year.

Transforming in the digital age

Keeping up with the trend of modern media, in recent years, Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station has focused on developing digital content production, applying digital transformation to professional work, contributing to concretizing Resolution No. 01 on the Digital Transformation Program of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and Resolution of the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station on building an electronic newsroom, developing in a modern, multimedia direction.

Currently, the fanpage "TNTV - Thai Nguyen Television" has over 325,000 followers with about 5 million views/month, ranking 15th out of 63 local radio and television stations nationwide.

Youtube channel "Thai Nguyen Television - TNTV" attracted over 106,000 subscribers, received the Youtube silver button, ranked 32/63 local Radio and Television stations.

The station has also built and operated the official foreign information channel of Thai Nguyen province on the Electronic Information page and fanpage DYNAMIC THAINGUYEN with over 70,000 regular followers.

Along with that, the station's TikTok, Zalo, TNTV application... have posted tens of thousands of news and video clips to meet users' needs and promote the image of Thai Nguyen land and people in 3 languages: Vietnamese, Chinese, English, providing better experiences for the audience.

Today, Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station is proud of its team of young, dynamic journalists who are always enthusiastic about their profession. Training, fostering professional ethics and improving the expertise and professionalism of reporters and editors are always identified as key tasks.

The station constantly organizes training activities, creating conditions for staff and reporters to participate in radio and television festivals and national and local press awards.

Thanks to that, in recent years, Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station has regularly registered and won many awards at major press awards such as: National Press Award, National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Council (Dien Hong Award), Press Award for the cause of great national unity, National Radio Festival, Press Award for traffic safety propaganda, Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award of Thai Nguyen province, Press Competition "Bringing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress into life and many other awards...
