Truong Sa and Hoang Sa have always been sacred and inseparable territories of the Vietnamese Fatherland. To affirm this, in recent times, Dak Lak province has had many ways of propagating to all classes of people, through images and historical documents with legal value.

Earlier this year, at Dak Lak Museum, Buon Ma Thuot City, a solo exhibition with the theme “Truong Sa - The First Wave” took place. The exhibition displayed nearly 100 documentary photos about combat readiness training activities and the daily life of officers, soldiers and people on Truong Sa archipelago; models of 21 islands in Truong Sa archipelago along with artifacts such as the national flag, the flag of the Vietnam People's Navy, handicrafts made from seashells and snail shells by soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago. The exhibition also screened 5 episodes of Reportage - Documentary about Truong Sa.

The exhibition attracted a large number of locals and tourists. Mr. Ton That Tuan Ninh, in Lak district, Dak Lak province, shared that the works provided rich, close, and authentic information about the multi-dimensional and vibrant Truong Sa archipelago.

"In the Central Highlands and Dak Lak, for the first time I participated in an exhibition that reflected the life and work of soldiers on the Truong Sa archipelago, so that people in the Central Highlands could know about life at the forefront of the Fatherland," said Mr. Ninh. Not only in Buon Ma Thuot city, since 2014, the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak province has organized many propaganda activities on the protection of sea and island sovereignty. Among them, there is a mobile exhibition "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence" in the districts of M'Drak, Ea Kar, Ea Sup, Krong Bong, Ea H'leo, Cu Kuin and Buon Ho town. Each exhibition displays maps and documents as historical evidence and legal basis to prove Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos in the East Sea. The documents are recorded in many historical sources of Vietnam and other countries, especially documents and maps compiled and published from the 16th century to present in Vietnam and many countries around the world . Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak province, Head of the exhibition organizing committee, said: The documents and nearly 100 maps on display are a collection of official sources that have been published so far domestically and internationally; affirming the process of establishing, implementing and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. Each exhibition attracts thousands of people to visit and learn. "Through the exhibition, it has contributed significantly to raising the awareness and sense of responsibility of each cadre, party member in particular and Vietnamese people in general, actively contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the homeland's seas and islands and successfully carrying out the two strategic tasks of building and defending the Fatherland", said Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep. Propaganda about sovereignty over seas and islands has also been deployed by localities in Dak Lak and spread to teachers and students in schools. In Buon Ho town, the "I love Vietnam's Sea and Islands" contest was held at the end of 2023 in the form of a dramatization for secondary schools. Through the contest, both teachers and students have seriously prepared, learned more deeply about the sovereignty of the homeland's seas and islands, thereby demonstrating creativity in the presentation, talent and propaganda skits. Teacher H B'hai Mlo, Tran Phu Secondary School, Doan Ket Ward, Buon Ho town shared: The contest not only creates a useful playground but also contributes to improving the understanding of teachers and students about Vietnam's seas and islands, thereby fostering and nurturing love for the homeland and country. "Let students have early access to the value of the sea and islands, the history of generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their lives in battles to protect the sea and islands. Let them have early access so that they have the right understanding and perspective on the value of the sea and islands of their homeland. Students are also very eager to learn and collect questions and knowledge about the sea and islands," said teacher H B'hai Mlo. As for Tran Nguyen Dang Khoa, a student in class 11A1, Y Jut High School, Ea Bhok Commune, Cu Kuin District, Dak Lak Province, because of his love for the sea, he often searches for information and watches clips about the sea and islands on the internet, which helps him better understand the meaning of the national sea and islands: "For me, as a student, I need to strive to study better and actively promote to everyone about Vietnam's sovereignty over the sea and islands. I dream of becoming a navy soldier, because the sea and islands are part of our flesh and blood, and becoming someone to protect them is a very sacred duty."
