Dak R'lap has more than 65,000 hectares of agricultural land. In recent years, Dak R'lap district (Dak Nong) has promoted the transformation from small-scale, scattered agricultural production to large-scale commodity production development.

This process is gradually forming concentrated agricultural specialized areas, contributing to improving economic efficiency, improving farmers' income, and at the same time creating a foundation to attract investment and develop high-tech agriculture associated with the market.
In Dak R'lap district, there are currently 4 concentrated agricultural production areas. Each area has its own strengths in terms of location, crop varieties and production methods.
For example, the organic pepper growing area is established in 3 communes: Nhan Co, Dak Wer and Nhan Dao with a scale of about 300 hectares. This is a typical area for organic farming model and production meeting VietGAP standards.
Of these, more than 100 hectares have been granted international organic certification. This pepper growing area has developed strongly thanks to the participation of cooperatives and purchasing enterprises, helping farmers feel secure about the output and added value of their products.

The fruit growing area is concentrated in the communes of Dak Sin, Quang Tin, Dak Ru and Dak Wer with an area of over 500 hectares. The main crops here are durian, avocado, Thai jackfruit and passion fruit.
This is an area with a rapid conversion rate from ineffective crops to high-value fruit trees, bringing high income to many households.
The diversity of varieties, along with the application of advanced care techniques, has contributed to improving the quality of agricultural products and competitiveness in the market.
High-quality coffee areas have been established in Quang Tin, Dak Ru and Dak Wer communes, with a scale of over 600 hectares. Quang Tin commune alone is developing a concentrated production area, a high-tech coffee area with a scale of over 300 hectares.
Currently, farmers have proactively replanted coffee with new varieties, applying sustainable farming processes according to 4C and VietGAP standards.
This coffee region not only improves the quality of raw materials for processing but also helps people reduce input costs and increase the ability to link the value chain with businesses.

The high-tech vegetable growing area is located in Dak Wer and Kien Thanh communes with a scale of about 50 hectares and is continuing to expand. This is an area that strongly applies advanced technical solutions such as growing in greenhouses and using drip irrigation systems.
Vegetables grown here are mainly supplied to Gia Nghia City and some supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nen, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dak R'lap district, said that developing concentrated production areas helps Dak R'lap improve productivity, quality and economic efficiency.
This is a step in the right direction to build a modern, environmentally friendly agriculture that is competitive in both domestic and international markets.
Agriculture plays a pivotal role in the economic structure of Dak R'lap district. The formation of concentrated production areas not only increases people's income but also creates favorable conditions to attract businesses to invest in processing and value chain linkage.

Dak R'lap district is focusing on planning and developing key agricultural areas, building codes for stable growing areas and raw material areas, connecting businesses and farmers. Dak R'lap is gradually affirming its position as an important agricultural commodity area of Dak Nong province.
With the support of the government, the efforts of farmers and the intermediary role of cooperatives, large-scale, concentrated agricultural production areas will be a solid foundation for rural economic development in the coming years.
