In this year's 10th grade entrance exam, the whole province organized 1 Examination Council, 33 Examination Councils corresponding to 33 examination sites arranged appropriately in the province.
To ensure the high school entrance exam takes place safely and smoothly, the Provincial Police have coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to direct professional units and police of communes, wards and towns to develop plans and prepare solutions to ensure safety, security, and fire prevention and fighting. In particular, special attention is paid to the work of securing exam papers, transporting exam papers and test papers; ensuring security and order at exam locations, exam printing areas, exam marking areas, exam invigilator areas... and during the exam organization process, there are measures to manage and prevent violations of exam regulations, ensuring absolute security and safety for the exam; preventing, detecting and promptly handling violations of the law and the use of high-tech equipment to cheat during the exam.
In addition, direct the Traffic Police Department to closely coordinate with local police to ensure smooth traffic at examination sites where traffic jams and flooding often occur before and after the examination, creating favorable conditions for candidates to arrive on time and safely; ensure security and order throughout the examination period. Coordinate with the Department of Construction and related units, increase forces to ensure the best quality means of transport to serve candidates and their families; increase traffic police and traffic inspectors at bus stations and intersections where traffic jams and flooding are likely to occur, promptly prevent and stop acts that obstruct traffic.
The Tran Phu High School (Vinh Yen) exam site has 33 exam rooms with nearly 800 candidates. As early as 5:30 a.m., the police force was present to direct traffic flow, ensuring smooth traffic at the exam sites and intersections.
Candidates are taken to the exam site by their families mainly from 6:30 to 7:30, so the traffic on Chu Van An Street leading to the school gate at this time is very heavy. However, thanks to the careful preparation of plans, on-duty, and traffic flow of the police force and the youth volunteers, there was no congestion, and security and order and traffic safety were ensured.
Lieutenant Colonel Bach Van Kien, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Team, Provincial Police, said: The unit has arranged 2 officers to direct traffic at the school gate area, and at the same time deployed mobile patrol teams on the roads near the exam site, organizing traffic flow early, from a distance, promptly supporting candidates and their families during the process of moving to the exam site.
In addition, during the exam period, through the surveillance camera system and walkie-talkies between local police, the Traffic Police Department quickly grasps traffic jams or accidents (if any) for timely handling.
At the Nguyen Thi Giang High School (Vinh Tuong) exam site, there are 21 exam rooms with nearly 500 candidates registered to take the exam. Comrade Ha Trong Lien, Secretary of the Nguyen Thi Giang High School Examination Council, said: To ensure security and safety for the exam, Lung Hoa Commune Police have arranged 3 officers to ensure security and order at the exam site, including 1 police officer on duty to preserve exam papers 24/7; The Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police Department has arranged 2 officers to guide and direct traffic in the area outside the exam site. Thanks to that, on the first day of the high school entrance exam, the security and order situation, traffic safety at the exam site was basically stable, with no congestion.
Assigned to ensure security and order in the Nguyen Thi Giang High School exam area, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Dung, Lung Hoa Commune Police, said: To ensure absolute safety for the exam, the Commune Police have proactively developed plans and solutions to ensure security and order; fully prepared supplies and human resources such as life jackets, trucks, rescue ropes, etc. to be ready to respond to unusual weather developments. At the same time, coordinating with the Department of Education and Training, focusing on checking fire prevention and fighting plans at exam sites, exam printing and copying areas, exam storage and grading areas.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Noi Kim Xa village, Kim Xa commune (Vinh Tuong), is a parent taking her son to the 10th grade entrance exam at Nguyen Thi Giang High School. She said: The distance from my house to the exam site is more than 8 km. Before that, because I was afraid of traffic jams, I took my son to the exam at 6 am. However, thanks to the traffic police officers and soldiers on duty to direct and regulate traffic on the roads leading to the exam site, my family moved very smoothly. The authorities instructed us to stop our vehicles 100 - 200 m from the school gate to avoid traffic jams.
At 33 examination sites across the province, the Provincial Police directed professional units to coordinate with the police of communes, wards, towns and the Department of Education and Training to arrange 5-6 police officers on duty, both to ensure security, order and traffic safety at the examination sites and to be ready to support and accompany candidates and their families to the examination sites safely.
The traffic police force has proactively grasped the situation, checked the roads and streets at risk of congestion to develop response plans, and arranged forces to direct and regulate traffic. Thanks to that, the security and order situation, traffic safety on the first day of the high school entrance exam was ensured, there were no traffic jams or collisions involving candidates and their families.
