In order for people to travel safely, conveniently and ensure traffic safety during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, as the core force, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police has proactively developed a plan and implemented work to ensure traffic order and safety during this occasion.

Lieutenant Colonel Phuong Thuc Dinh, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, said: Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 39 dated April 17, 2025 on ensuring traffic order and safety to serve people's travel needs during the April 30-May 1 holiday and the peak summer tourist season in 2025, the Traffic Police Department will mobilize maximum forces, coordinate with other forces to patrol, control, and handle violations on all traffic routes in the province. Based on the actual situation of each locality, the department will direct its subordinate teams and stations to increase patrols and controls, promptly detect and strictly handle violations that are the causes of traffic accidents...

According to information from the authorities, in the first quarter of 2025, the provincial traffic police force detected and handled 8,062 cases of violations of traffic safety order. The main violations were violations of alcohol concentration, speed; overloading, exceeding the size of the car's side and trunk; not wearing a helmet; not having a driver's license... Thereby, 2,689 vehicles of all types were temporarily detained, 4,581 sets of documents were temporarily detained. Also in the first quarter of 2025, the province had 113 road traffic accidents, killing 23 people, injuring 101 people, and causing property damage estimated at about 1.7 billion VND; compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 1 case, a decrease of 2 deaths, and a decrease of 11 injuries.

Along with the patrolling and control of the functional forces, the Department of Construction directed the affiliated specialized departments and divisions to strictly implement Document No. 1610 dated April 4, 2025 of the Ministry of Construction on strengthening solutions to ensure traffic safety and order during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and April 30 - May 1, 2025. Specifically, the Department directed road management units and construction units to strengthen inspection and supervision on assigned traffic routes, review and supplement markers and signs, promptly repair damage, especially at intersections and routes with high traffic density. At the same time, it requested the management boards of bus stations to regularly check and grasp the number of vehicles of enterprises, transport cooperatives and vehicle owners, in order to propagate the strict implementation of the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Chief of Office of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, said: In order to prevent and minimize traffic accidents during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee issued a document directing the Traffic Safety Committees of districts and cities to proactively propagate anddisseminate traffic safety laws to the majority of people in the area, propagate the Law on Road Traffic Safety and related documents; increase patrols and controls, strictly handle violations that cause traffic accidents on national highways, and at the same time, maximize the force of the organization, ensure traffic, reasonable traffic flow, and guide vehicles to circulate safely and smoothly.

With the measures implemented synchronously, it is believed that the traffic order and safety situation during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year will be ensured, safe and smooth. However, in addition to the efforts of agencies, units and functional forces, each citizen when participating in traffic needs to raise awareness, comply with the law when participating in traffic to protect the safety of life and property of themselves and people when participating in traffic on the road.
