Ensure exams take place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations

On the morning of May 7, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to review and agree on the implementation of contents related to the organization of the 2025-2026 High School Entrance Exam and the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

2025 is the first year that the High School Graduation Exam and the High School Entrance Exam will be organized according to the exam questions of the 2018 GeneralEducation Program; the purpose and requirements of the exams will remain stable as in 2024.

For the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, the whole province has 16,430 candidates registered for the exam, of which 15,516 are non-specialized public high schools and 914 are Ha Tinh Specialized High Schools. The number of candidates wishing to register for admission to non-specialized public high schools includes: 16,430 first choice; 14,762 second choice; 9,551 third choice.

Representatives of the Department of Education and Training reported on preparations for organizing the exams.

Candidates will take 3 subjects: Literature, English, Math on June 3, 2025. Candidates taking the specialized high school exam will take the specialized subject exam on June 4, 2025.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Ha Tinh Specialized High School will still enroll 13 classes, including: 2 specialized Math classes, 2 specialized English classes; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, IT, Literature, History, Geography, French, Chinese, 1 class each. Each class has no more than 35 students.

The whole province arranges 36 examination sites; exam results will be announced before June 18, 2025.

For the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the whole province has 17,044 candidates, of which: 13,892 general education students, 3,152 continuing education students registered to take the exam under the 2018 General Education Program. In addition, there are 369 independent candidates registered to take the exam under the 2006 General Education Program.

Colonel Dang Hoai Son - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department informed about the plan to ensure safety for candidates and exams.

The province has arranged 36 examination sites, of which 1 examination site is for all independent candidates registering for the exam under the 2006 General Education Program and 35 examination sites are for candidates studying in grade 12 and independent candidates who have graduated and registered for the exam under the 2018 General Education Program.

The exam takes place from June 26-27 and the results will be announced on July 16, 2025.

The Provincial People's Committee has issued a directive on strengthening the direction and coordination of the organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam; the plan to organize the 10th grade entrance exam and the 10th grade specialized high school entrance exam; the decision to establish the Provincial Steering Committees for the High School Graduation Exam and the Provincial Steering Committee for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Viet Hai Dang reported on the plan to support and assist the exam season.

The Department of Education and Training directs and inspects the completion of teaching plans, student assessment and classification at educational institutions to ensure compliance with regulations; organizes training sessions to improve the quality of review for students; organizes mock exams for 12th grade students; announces information on exam registration (location, time of application submission, method of application submission) on mass media; and carries out well the organization and preparation for exams.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and contributed ideas in developing plans to ensure safety for exams; support and encourage exam season.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Education and Training to fully absorb the delegates' comments to study and promptly supplement the preparation work; provide specific information to parents and students about the exam locations and regulations on picking up and dropping off children for the exam.

The education and training sector also needs to quickly grasp information about students, especially those in difficult situations, to have plans to accompany and support candidates early; have specific plans for training, reviewing knowledge and stabilizing their psychology so that they can confidently enter the exam.

Localities review examination sites to ensure facilities are in accordance with regulations, especially paying attention to fire prevention and fighting, traffic safety, security and order; ensuring food safety and hygiene; preventing and combating cheating using high-tech equipment during the examinations.

Relevant departments, branches, localities and units continue to promote their roles and responsibilities in performing their tasks to ensure that the exams take place safely, seriously, transparently and in accordance with regulations.
