Les Musiciens du Louvre Orchestra was founded in 1982 by conductor Marc Minkowski. The orchestra has been very successful in reviving works from the Baroque, Classical or Romantic periods on the typical instruments of each musical period.

Over the past 40 years, the imprint of Les Musiciens du Louvre has been affirmed through the works of GFHandel, H.Purcell, JSBach and JP.Rameau, to the Classical period with J.Haydn and WAMozart, as well as the early Romantic period with F.Schubert. Les Musiciens du Louvre was one of the first orchestras invited to perform at the Vienna Staatsoper Opéra and at the Salzburg Festival, as well as regularly touring major theaters in France and around the world. Sofia Savenko is a German-Russian Soprano who successfully completed her Master's degree in Vocal Music at the Nuremberg University of Music (Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg) in 2023. She has played leading roles in many famous musicals such as Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni”, Countess Gräfin in “The Marriage of Figaro” (Le nozze di Figaro), Papagena in “The Magic Flute” (Die Zauberflöte), Musetta in “La Bohème”, Baronin von Freimann in “Der Wildschütz”… and many other works.
