Dam Rong: Handing over 11 houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

(LĐ online) - On May 27, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Dam Rong District held a handover ceremony of 11 houses to poor and near-poor households in Ro Men Commune approved for housing by 2025.

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Van Chau - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Dam Rong District, along with leaders of departments, offices, agencies and units in the district.

After more than 2 months of construction, all 11 houses have been basically completed and can be put into use; of which, there are 8 newly built houses and 3 repaired houses. Each house has an area of ​​42 m2 - 63 m2 , with a corrugated iron roof structure, brick walls, tiled floors and kitchen area... with the State supporting 60 million VND/house for new construction and 30 million VND/house for repair.

The total investment cost for the construction of the 11 houses is 1.3 billion VND. Of which, the state budget supports 570 million VND; the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee supports 30 million VND; the local socialized budget is 36 million VND and the people's counterpart budget is 710 million VND.

It is known that, implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, Dam Rong district has been allocated funds to invest in building 156 new houses and repairing 12 houses for poor and near-poor households. Up to now, the whole district has achieved 70% of the construction progress. Dam Rong district strives to complete 100% of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 by June 30.

On this occasion, families receiving their houses were also given gifts by local authorities.
