On the afternoon of May 28, singer Dam Vinh Hung held a showcase for his album Thanh Xuan Khong Phai De Khoc in Ho Chi Minh City. This product marks the singer's return after more than a year since he suffered a health problem and was banned from performing.

Attending the event to cheer for Dam Vinh Hung, Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc expressed his emotion at his junior's return.

"I still think that in misfortune there is luck. After 9 months of Dam Vinh Hung being in hiding, I see that he is completely different, much more mature, from style to music . I really like the change and this version of Dam Vinh Hung", artist Thanh Loc said.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, singer Dam Vinh Hung said he appreciates the feelings of Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc. After the ups and downs that have just happened, he also has a lot of time to contemplate what should and should not be done, and has time to think and renew himself.

"I also like my new version, it makes me feel like a "young singer", just starting to get attention from the audience. I thank Mr. Loc for his words. That is also the key for me to strive, to open other doors.

For a long time, Thanh Loc has been close to many artists, but it is very difficult to make him like me. Today, I am extremely happy to receive such comments from him," Dam Vinh Hung said.

Returning to music after a long absence, Dam Vinh Hung said he did not want to follow the same old path, keep the same old style, and choose old music. The male singer revealed that the process of making the album went through many stages of preparation and consideration. The singer of Love Castle prepared many songs but was ready to abandon them because they were no longer suitable for the music market.

"Every time I go into the studio, I sing over and over again, changing the way I sing. In the past, I sang in a sad and sorrowful way. But now I remove the old things, sing more gently, without humming or vibrato. If I keep holding on to the past, I will fall into a rut," Dam Vinh Hung said.

When asked about the mixed opinions when Dam Vinh Hung renewed his music, the male singer affirmed that he could never please everyone, only hoping that the audience who loved him would be open to accepting.

"I can never please the thousands of people in front of me. But I will also talk to my fans and hope they understand. Do they still want to listen to Dam Vinh Hung's old music? I try to renew myself, choose new harmonies, new singing styles to expand my career, and make sure that young audiences also love my music," the singer said.

During the introduction, Dam Vinh Hung sang many songs from the new album such as: Ben do hay bao to (musician Nguyen Hoang Thuan) , Dung lo co a ok, Yeu roi de do (musician Dong Thien Duc), Anh dau tu luc em di (musician Tran Manh Cuong)... At times, the male singer burst into tears because of emotion.

Musician Dong Thien Duc said he was hesitant before working with Dam Vinh Hung.

"Three years ago, I was determined to work with Dam Vinh Hung at all costs. When a teacher brought my song to Hung, I was surprised because he agreed to record it. However, at that time, I didn't have too much hope because we had two different colors, I didn't know if we were suitable for each other or not.

But when I heard the demo recording, I was completely convinced. I am grateful that Dam Vinh Hung removed the "thorns" on his body to suit my music," Dong Thien Duc shared at the show.
