Hanoi University and College Party Committee supports people to overcome natural disasters

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on the morning of November 25, the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges organized a campaign to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hanoi Universities and Colleges Nguyen Thanh Son said that the recent floods in the Central and Central Highlands regions have caused great losses in human lives and property, severely affecting people's lives and production. In the spirit of solidarity and sharing, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has issued a call for all people to participate in supporting people in flood-affected areas.

“On behalf of the Party Committee Standing Committee, I call on all Party Committees, affiliated Party cells, organizations, unions, cadres, Party members and workers in the entire Party Committee to actively respond to this campaign with the highest spirit,” Comrade Nguyen Thanh Son emphasized.

Regarding the form of support, comrade Nguyen Thanh Son suggested mobilizing cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to support on a voluntary basis, encouraging a minimum support level of one day's salary. For students and trainees, depending on their conditions and abilities, to participate in contributing, the most important thing is to educate the spirit of sharing and compassion. In particular, encourage schools with professional strengths (medicine, pharmacy, construction, agriculture , irrigation...) to organize professional working groups to support consultation, medical examination and treatment, and overcoming the consequences after the flood.

"Every contribution we make, no matter how small or large, is important, helping people in the Central and Central Highlands regions to quickly overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives," said comrade Nguyen Thanh Son.

At the event, participating groups and individuals donated 69,880,000 VND to send to people in disaster areas.
