- Developing Party members is one of the important tasks in Party building work. Recognizing this, during the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Health and its affiliated Party organizations have implemented many solutions to develop Party members. As a result, during the past term, the Party organizations affiliated with the Party Committee of the Department of Health have admitted 54 new Party members, achieving 135% of the target set in the resolution of the 2020-2025 Party Congress.
The Party Committee of the Department of Health currently has 10 subordinate party branches (including: the Party Committee of the Center for Disease Control; the Party Branch of the Comprehensive Social Welfare Facility; the Party Branch of the Department's Office; and 7 party branches of units directly under the provincial level), with a total of 328 party members. During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Health set a specific target of "Striving to recruit 40 or more new party members during the term." To achieve this result, from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Health and its subordinate party branches have implemented many comprehensive and effective solutions.
Mr. Nguyen The Toan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of Health, stated: The Party Committee of the Department of Health has developed a plan, issued specific guiding documents, and implemented it in 100% of its subordinate Party branches and committees. This includes reviewing and assigning specific targets to each unit based on actual conditions. Simultaneously, members of the Party Committee's Executive Board have been assigned to monitor and guide the implementation of Party member development in their assigned Party branches; raising awareness and responsibility among Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, and Party members regarding Party member development; clearly defining Party member development as a key and ongoing task in Party building; and using the results of achieving Party member recruitment targets as one of the important criteria for considering, evaluating, and ranking Party committees, Party organizations, and individual leaders at the end of the year.
Accordingly, the Party Committee of the Department of Health has thoroughly disseminated the Party's guidelines and viewpoints on Party member development; and professional guidance documents on Party building work so that Party committees and members at all levels understand and correctly implement the regulations. Based on this, Party organizations and mass organizations within the agency and units have effectively carried out political and ideological education, so that civil servants, employees, and union members (youth, trade unions) can raise their awareness, strive, and train themselves to be admitted into the Party ranks.
Through the activities of mass organizations, agencies, and units, and the results of the annual review and evaluation of the quality of cadres and civil servants, the Party branch selects outstanding individuals to attend training courses on Party awareness. At the same time, the Party branches assign Party members to monitor and assist these individuals.
Dr. Trieu Quang Phu, Party Branch Secretary and Director of the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital, said: To create a source for developing Party members, the Party branch committee has based its review on work results and movement activities to identify outstanding individuals, assigning Party members to mentor and train young cadres so that they can both improve their professional skills and cultivate political qualities, ethics, and lifestyle. During the 2020-2025 term, the unit has developed 12 new Party members, achieving 109% of the target.
In addition, organizing emulation movements and campaigns such as "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh "; "Young doctors following Uncle Ho's teachings"... has created a favorable environment for young doctors and medical professionals to train, contribute, and affirm themselves, which is a source of quality Party development for Party branches.
With synchronized solutions, the work of developing Party members in the provincial health sector has achieved positive results, contributing to increasing the pool of cadres at the grassroots level, creating an important foundation for improving the quality of medical services, and better meeting the health care needs of the people.
To achieve the target of admitting 15 new Party members in 2025, the units will continue to create a favorable environment for doctors, nurses, and medical staff to maximize their abilities, train, and strive to join the ranks of the Party.
