- On the morning of December 15th, the Department of Education and Training held the opening ceremony of the Provincial Excellent Preschool Teacher Competition for the 2025-2026 school year.

The competition took place over 5 days, from December 15th to 19th, with the participation of 99 teachers representing public and private preschools from 65 communes and wards in the province (an increase of 33 teachers compared to the previous school year).

In his opening remarks at the competition, the leader of the Department of Education and Training affirmed: The provincial-level competition for excellent preschool teachers in the 2025-2026 school year is a professional activity organized every four years, with significant importance in realistically assessing the competence of preschool teachers.
The comrade expressed his wish that the participating teachers remain calm and confident, utilize their experience and creativity in each section, and view the competition as an opportunity to learn, exchange expertise, and demonstrate their professional competence. He also requested that the judging panel work objectively and fairly, accurately assessing the quality of each section, thereby ensuring the competition is conducted seriously, substantively, and achieves its objectives.
According to the rules, each teacher participating in the competition must complete two parts. In the presentation of the proposed solution, the teacher must present a solution that contributes to improving the quality of childcare, nurturing, and education of children, currently being effectively implemented at their educational institution. The proposed solution must be verified by the school leadership, have specific evidence, be submitted for the first time, and not have been used for individual awards before. The presentation time is a maximum of 30 minutes, including time for discussion with the judging panel.

In the practical examination, teachers conduct one educational activity (lesson) directly in the group or class according to the current preschool education program. Nursery teachers conduct lessons with children aged 24 to 36 months; kindergarten teachers conduct lessons according to the registered age group (3-4 years old, 4-5 years old, or 5-6 years old).
The subject, lesson content, and location are determined by drawing lots; teachers are given no more than two days to familiarize themselves with the children before the competition. The duration of each lesson is specifically defined for each age group, ensuring it is appropriate for the children's psychological and physiological characteristics.
The competition entries are evaluated by a judging panel comprising specialists from the Department of Education and Training, management staff, and core preschool teachers, ensuring transparency, objectivity, and fairness. Teachers awarded the title of "Excellent Preschool Teacher at the Provincial Level" must simultaneously meet the requirements in both competition categories as stipulated.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the contestants drew lots and performed the competition rounds in the order stipulated by the Organizing Committee at preschools in the wards of Tam Thanh, Luong Van Tri, Ky Lua, and Dong Kinh.
The competition aims to help the provincial education sector continue to identify and honor preschool teachers with strong professional competence and a spirit of innovation and creativity in caring for, nurturing, and educating children. It also aims to motivate preschool teachers to improve their skills, self-learn, and share experiences, contributing to raising the quality of preschool education in the province in the current period.
