At the meeting, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai, Head of the Steering Committee, requested units to continue to effectively implement programs and action plans to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, ensuring close connection with the province's socio-economic development goals. Data digitization must be done correctly, sufficiently, cleanly, live, unified and shared, considering this an important foundation for building a digital government. The team of cadres and party members are exemplary and pioneers in applying technology, contributing to improving labor productivity and work efficiency.
Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai directed relevant units to coordinate in reviewing and fully listing tasks that need to be decentralized to communes and wards, especially those related to digital transformation, high-tech application in agricultural development, digital industry and urban management. Relevant parties evaluate the implementation results, promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, and have forms of reminders and handling of units that are still slow, in order to ensure the progress and effectiveness of implementing the goals of digital transformation, science and technology development of the province.
Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Phuong Bac said that implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Action Program No. 97-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to implement Resolution 57, up to now, the province has completed 66/123 tasks, reaching 53.66%, including 38/65 tasks (58.46%) of 2025, with no overdue tasks.
At the meeting, the Steering Committee members focused on analyzing the results achieved, pointing out the shortcomings and limitations and proposing many practical solutions to overcome difficulties in the implementation process. The Steering Committee members emphasized some key contents such as: It is necessary to promptly edit and complete data to serve the digitalization work, ensuring accuracy, synchronization and connectivity; proposing to rent Data Centers from competent units instead of investing in infrastructure, in order to accelerate the digital transformation progress. It is necessary to affirm the important role of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, not only as a place to support businesses but also as a platform to promote the application of science and technology in production and life.
Stakeholders must fully update data for the Smart City Operation Monitoring Center (IOC) to improve the efficiency of the province's operations and management; gradually modernize digital data infrastructure, and promote the application of technology in production and life fields. Functional units need to organize training and fostering for staff, civil servants, and public employees, especially those who directly perform digital transformation tasks, and increase investment in applied scientific research topics that are practical and highly deployable.
