Truong Sa Island rescues fisherman with stroke

On the afternoon of February 26, Truong Sa Island Infirmary, Brigade 146, Navy Region 4 received and successfully treated a fisherman on fishing boat NT 91429TS who suffered a stroke while fishing in Truong Sa waters.

Previously, at around 2:00 a.m. on February 26, fisherman Pham Van Trinh, captain of fishing boat NT 91429TS, born in 1988, from Thanh Hai, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province, suddenly felt numbness and weakness in the right side of his body, had difficulty walking, and was taken to Da Lat island for first aid.

At 2:00 p.m., the patient was transported to Truong Sa Island for emergency treatment in a conscious state, with good contact, right hemiplegia, 3/5 muscle strength, and reduced sensation.

Through examination, doctors diagnosed the patient with a stroke, monitored hemorrhage in the T hemisphere, and performed emergency measures.

Currently, doctors and nurses of the Medical Center continue to consult with Military Hospital 175 to treat and closely monitor the patient's health condition.
