The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Decision approving the Plan to Respond to Marburg Disease Situations at border gates and seaports to promptly detect cases of Marburg disease or suspected cases, conduct early isolation, provide care, treatment and timely handling to minimize the disease's entry into Long An province.

The plan sets out measures to handle 2 situations when there is 01 passenger entering through the above border gate or seaport.

The province has signs of infection or suspected infection of Marburg disease and many passengers entering through border gates and seaports in the province have signs of infection or suspected infection of Marburg disease.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee directed units to proactively develop plans and synchronously deploy appropriate epidemic prevention and control activities in the province, especially at border gates and seaports. Strengthen the Steering Committee for epidemic prevention and control at all levels, organize regular or ad hoc meetings when necessary, and in case the epidemic develops complicatedly or spreads, organize daily meetings to promptly direct epidemic prevention and control work.

At the same time, direct to strengthen monitoring, early detection, readiness to admit and treat patients; promote propaganda about the epidemic situation and prevention measures for the community. Update the epidemic situation in the world , domestically unify response measures according to the epidemic's developments; direct, urge and inspect the implementing units.
