Cultural and historical imprints of Grand Tutor Truong Han Sieu on Ninh Binh land

On May 27, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province coordinated with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to organize a scientific seminar with the theme: "The life and career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu".

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, said that Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu is a typical cultural celebrity of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu-Ninh Binh, a clear witness to the long-standing cultural tradition. He is also an outstanding son of Dai Viet culture under the Tran Dynasty.

He deserves to be ranked among the famous people honored at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam as the Tran Dynasty had "ranked" in the past. However, due to historical circumstances, documents about the life and career of Grand Tutor Truong Han Sieu are still not many and not really complete.

This workshop is of great significance, an opportunity for scientists and research experts to continue to clarify the life and career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu; to evaluate the position, role and contributions of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu to culture, history... in the historical process of the Vietnamese nation.

Through that, Ninh Binh province wishes to contribute to promoting the preservation, honoring and spreading the traditional cultural and historical values ​​of the locality, deepening pride,educating patriotism and the morality of "remembering the source of water" for today's and future generations.

Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Minh Tuan, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences delivered a keynote speech at the Workshop.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Minh Tuan, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, in the thousands of years of history of the Vietnamese people, Ninh Binh was not only the center of political power of the country during the Dinh and Tien Le dynasties, but also a space to preserve memories and a place where many values ​​of Vietnamese culture crystallized.

In that context, Truong Han Sieu's legacy is both a mark of a historical figure and a treasure trove of knowledge connecting his era with later generations - an intermediary symbol between recorded history and understood history, between transmitted memory and constructed memory.

Researching the legacy of Truong Han Sieu is not a purely academic task; it is a process of reconstructing collective memory, where each new slice of knowledge can potentially hold possibilities for interpreting the past and paving the way for new visions of the future.

Many comments were rich, lively and had high scientific content at the Workshop.

At the workshop, central and local scientists and researchers had many opinions to exchange and discuss, focusing on two main contents: Homeland, background, career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu; Cultural imprints, cultural heritage, heritage and contemporary messages.

From many fields and with different approaches, the opinions presented all have rich, vivid content, high scientific content, focusing on the main issues: The life and career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu; Analysis and evaluation of the contributions and legacy of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu to the history and culture of Vietnam; Proposing directions and solutions to inherit, preserve and promote the legacy value of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu in the economic, cultural and social development of the country in general and Ninh Binh province in particular.

The papers are like precious pieces of documents, sketching a multifaceted portrait of the Tran Dynasty's Grand Tutor - not only an outstanding politician with a vision for legal reform, but also a great cultural figure with great contributions to the national heritage treasure. Through that, we can better understand the dialectical relationship between people and the "spiritual land of talented people" Ninh Binh - where local quintessence blends with national stature, where the tangible and intangible heritage of Truong Han Sieu becomes a bridge between the glorious past and the present, which is constantly searching for its identity.

The research results of the Workshop are expected to provide useful knowledge for proposing solutions and plans to preserve, maintain, promote and develop the country's heritages and historical and cultural values ​​in Ninh Binh, contributing to the building of a sustainable development strategy for the province.
