Households implementing the model are enthusiastic about new livelihoods in the direction of exploiting local potential and advantages to escape poverty sustainably.

Following the direction of the leaders of Thai Nguyen province, in January 2025, 50 breeding goats were initially delivered to 10 households in Mo Chi hamlet, each household receiving four female goats and one male goat for breeding. After more than four months of good care and proper techniques, the goats of Mr. Ngo Van Hanh's family gave birth to three kids; the goats of Mr. Ngo Van Chu's family also gave birth to four kids.

Mr. Chu shared: “Mo Chi hamlet has a large area, mountainous terrain, a lot of natural grass and is a source of green, clean food, ensuring the needs of goats. Along with that, the climate here is very suitable, so the goats are healthy and grow well”. The model of raising goats to improve the household economy in Mo Chi hamlet, Cuc Duong commune has developed as expected by the local Party Committee and government. As a result, the herd of goats has grown rapidly, up to now there are more than 100 goats, after more than four months of raising, the average weight of each goat is from 7 to 10 kg, the selling price is stable at 150-170,000 VND/kg, each goat sold earns an average of more than 1 million VND.

According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Cuc Duong Commune Hoang Quoc Anh, through the preliminary summary, the goat farming model is suitable for natural conditions, does not require investment in feed, does not take much time to care for, is suitable for the level of local ethnic minorities, the goat herd develops well, has high economic efficiency and is a long-term livelihood for the breeders. Thereby, not only providing breeding goats to help poor households here have jobs, stable income to gradually escape poverty, but also helping other households in the hamlet continue to invest in expanding goat farming, spreading, contributing to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security. Mo Chi Hamlet, Cuc Duong Commune has 130 households with nearly 800 people, most of whom are H'Mong ethnic people and is a particularly difficult hamlet with a high rate of poor households.

With a suitable and successful goat farming model, in the coming time, the local Party Committee and government will replicate the model in Mo Chi; at the same time, research national target programs and investment projects for particularly difficult areas to develop goat farming, in order to exploit potential and promote local economic development.
