However, the situation of property theft is still complicated and tends to increase. At the same time, groups of young people gather in groups, use weapons to intentionally cause injuries, disturb public order and destroy property continuously, affecting the security and order situation in the area.

Typically, on the afternoon of June 1, based on a report from the people, My Long Ward Police promptly stopped a group of teenagers preparing to fight. At that time, 10 teenagers (aged 15-21, residing in My Long and My Quy wards) were gathering, carrying many weapons, including: 2 pig-throwing sticks, 1 pitchfork, 3 machetes, preparing to fight with a group of teenagers from Phu Hoa town (Thoai Son district). Immediately, all were invited to My Long Ward Police.

Previously, on the evening of April 3, Truong Anh Kiet (born in 2005, residing in Nguyen Du hamlet, My Binh ward) resolved a conflict with Nguyen Khang Luan's group (born in 2008, residing in the same hamlet), and invited Huynh Hai Duong (born in 2005, residing in Vinh Trach commune, Thoai Son district). About 30 minutes later, Kiet's group went to Pham Ngu Lao street (My Phuoc ward), holding a homemade knife and slashing Luan's left hand. The above incidents show the increasing level of recklessness and recklessness of a group of young people.

However, with the determination to push back this social evil, Long Xuyen City Police deployed many high-point campaigns to attack, eradicate, and deter violators. Specifically, they made a list of 298 young people who showed signs of violating the law in the area; invited the subjects and family representatives to reform andeducate , had the subjects write a commitment not to re-offend, and the families promised to manage their children well. In addition, they reviewed and made a list of 92 welding establishments in the city, and had the owners commit to "not welding or manufacturing rudimentary weapons for young people".

Through the results of the struggle, the authorities discovered and investigated 14 cases involving 22 young people who committed acts of disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury. The cause was that the subjects often gathered in groups to play together; members of this group had conflicts with other groups. When conflicts arose, the subjects contacted each other, quickly gathered at a certain location, and prepared weapons to stab each other. The incidents often stemmed from small conflicts in life, activities, and male-female relationships.

Regarding property theft, there were 104 cases, involving 30 subjects. The subjects took advantage of the owners' negligence and lack of vigilance in managing and guarding their property, such as: parking on the street without anyone watching, not locking the steering wheel, leaving the keys in the car, people leaving the house with the door half-closed, forgetting to lock the windows... to commit crimes.

To strengthen the prevention of property theft, juvenile crime, and law violations in the coming time, Long Xuyen City Police continue to do a good job of advising the Party Committee and local authorities on programs, plans, and solutions, in order to promote the role and responsibility of the entire political system. The role of the units lies in the prevention and combat of property theft, juvenile crime, and law violations; in the management, supervision, reformation, education, and assistance of juvenile delinquents. Coordinate and promote propaganda through mass media; direct propaganda in residential areas and households.
