Recently, at the Cultural - Sports Center of Khanh Vinh district, the Provincial Women's Union organized a communication program "Building a safe living environment for women and children", combined with the Rural Market in the Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Regions in 2025. This is an activity under Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues of women and children" in the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in the Ethnic Minority Regions for the period 2021 - 2030.

At the program, 8 communication teams of the Women's Union of communes and towns in Khanh Vinh district communicated in the form of dramatization with many vivid, familiar and memorable skits such as: My Neighborhood Story, Awakening, Timely Prevention, Gender Equality, Bee and Butterfly, Broken Dream, Let's Act for a Family Without Violence, A Ma Knows ... The content focused on preventing and combating domestic violence, promoting gender equality, building healthy social relationships and a safe living environment for women and children.
The Provincial Women's Union also organized a rural market with 30 booths of women members from the districts of Khanh Vinh, Cam Lam, and Dien Khanh. The market displayed many agricultural products and traditional products typical of the ethnic minority region on trays, trays, banana leaves, etc. This was the first market in a series of activities under Project 8, creating conditions for women members to start businesses to boldly promote and sell clean, safe products typical of the ethnic minority region. The market is also an opportunity for consumers to access clean, safe products for their health.
Ms. Pi Nang Thi Nui (Khanh Thuong Commune, Khanh Vinh) shared: “To have products to sell at the market, I prepared a few days in advance. The products I brought to the market were all produced by my family such as: pineapple, wild vegetables, cassava cakes, green-heart black beans, upland rice... The market currently favors clean products, so I want to introduce the best agricultural products to consumers.”
Towards sustainable efficiency
In localities implementing Project 8, the Women's Union at all levels has also organized many activities to support women in their lives and economic development. According to Ms. Cao Thi My Cu - President of the Women's Union of Lien Sang Commune (Khanh Vinh), from 2022 to present, the Women's Union at all levels has organized many training courses and communication through dramatization to raise awareness, reduce domestic violence, early marriage and promote gender equality for ethnic minority members. Up to now, the activities have brought positive effects to people's lives. In addition, the Union has also actively mobilized women to help each other develop the economy such as: exchanging labor, supporting loans, giving livelihoods through trees and seedlings to poor women. Thanks to that, many members have risen out of poverty.
Ms. Nguyen Hoang Van Ha - Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union said that in the coming time, the unions at all levels will continue to promote propaganda, raise people's awareness, contribute to changing "thinking and working methods", build and replicate effective economic models, and enhance economic power for women in the ethnic minority areas. In addition to disseminating knowledge about cultivation and animal husbandry, the union will organize training courses on business administration, apply digital technology , put products on e-commerce platforms and apply AI in product introduction. At the same time, coordinate to organize more markets, connect members of the ethnic minority areas to participate in trade promotion, aiming at production according to VietGAP and OCOP product criteria to build a sustainable brand for products of women in the ethnic minority areas.
