Looking at the winning works, we were impressed with many paintings such as: Tet holiday in my hometown (Nguyen Be Tien - Cam Tan Primary School, Cam Lam district); Gong festival (Dang Truong Nguyen - Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School, Cam Ranh city); Introducing the beautiful scenery of my hometown (Tran Khanh Ngoc Minh - Au Co Secondary School, Nha Trang city); Returning to childhood to play the folk games I like (Luong Thi My Vy - Le Hong Phong Secondary School, Ninh Hoa town); I go to pick lotus (Duong Van Duc Nam - Tan Lap 2 Primary School, Nha Trang)... "My painting depicts children having fun on the Mid-Autumn Festival night. There, they can play lion dance, carry lanterns, break cakes, watch the moon, dance and sing. Through this painting, I hope all children in Vietnam and other countries can have fun, study and receive attention from their parents as well as all adults", shared Luong Ngoc Bao Phuong (Tan Lap 2 Primary School, Nha Trang city).
According to artist Tran Ha - Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Head of the Jury of the contest, the paintings of the children this year have high artistic quality, clear themes, and harmonious compositions. Most of the children have grasped the basic techniques in expressing colors, shapes, and compositions; using bright, vibrant colors, clear and innocent perspectives, and many new creations. The main materials used are: Crayons, markers, colored powder, torn paper, etc. Through their works, each child has expressed their interest in issues around them such as: Life; recreational activities; feelings for friends and family; aspirations for peace; beautiful homeland scenery; love for the sea and islands; environmental protection, etc. Notably, in this year's contest, adult intervention in the works has been eliminated. The contest also shows a fairly careful selection from schools andeducational institutions before sending the children's works to the organizing committee.
Will expand the playing field
The Provincial Children's Fine Arts Award is an annual activity to discover and nurture students with talent and a passion for painting; create a widespread painting movement among teenagers and children in the province. The success of this year's competition creates motivation to develop children's fine arts activities inside and outside of school. In addition to learning knowledge about science , society, history, etc., fine arts are also gradually receiving attention and response from children. Children's participation in painting helps them express their thoughts and feelings with friends, family, and teachers; creates a playground for them to interact, have time to learn about the landscape of their homeland, country, history, and national culture, etc.

According to Mr. Dang Quoc Van - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, each time the Provincial Children's Fine Arts Awards are held, it is a time to review and re-evaluate the painting movement in schools and educational institutions. From there, there are specific directions to build and develop painting activities, improve the quality of teaching fine arts. In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will specifically advise the Provincial People's Committee to continue implementing the contest after the merger of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces. At that time, the scale of the contest will be expanded with a larger number of participating schools and educational institutions. To effectively implement the contest in the new situation, the coordination between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the Department of Education and Training, Department of Health , Provincial Youth Union, Provincial Literature and Arts Association, school principals, etc. requires closer coordination.
