In recent times, Nha Trang City youth have carried out many activities to preserve urban civilization and protect the environment, notably garbage collection and marine environment protection. According to Mr. Phuong, joining hands to protect the sea is an activity that is regularly carried out, based on the actual situation in localities, or integrated with volunteer peak days and periods such as: Volunteer Saturday, Green Sunday, summer youth volunteer campaign, responding to World Environment Day... With the joint efforts of young people, it has contributed to preserving a greener, cleaner and more beautiful marine environment.

In Van Ninh district, young people often participate in beach cleaning activities in areas such as: Along the coast near Tran Hung Dao bridge, Van Gia town; August 14th street, Van Gia town; September 2nd street, Van Phuoc commune... Mr. Vo Dinh Chau - Secretary of Van Ninh District Youth Union said that these are areas where garbage often drifts from the sea, or some people throw garbage in the wrong place. In recent times, youth unions in the district have actively joined hands to protect the marine environment with practical actions such as: Collecting garbage on the beach; propagating people not to litter the sea;... "Recently, the Vietnam Youth Union of the district has established the Green PlanET Club - Action for the green planet. The club regularly organizes activities to protect the marine environment, attracting a large number of union members and tourists to participate" - Mr. Chau shared.

Clearly defining the role and responsibility of youth in environmental protection, in recent times, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has implemented many volunteer movements and programs for the environment, for the sea and islands of the homeland. In 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, the youth of the whole province has implemented 370 projects and youth tasks to handle waste and pollution points in residential areas, focusing on coastal localities; releasing more than 1.5 million aquatic breeds to regenerate and restore aquatic resources... In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also regularly maintains 8 youth volunteer teams to protect the marine environment in localities; Youth Union bases organize many teams to carry out activities.

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said that along with specific activities, Khanh Hoa youth also focus on propaganda and raising awareness of the community about protecting the marine environment. Through social networks, the fanpages of the Youth Union - Association - Team have become effective communication channels to spread the message "Green living, green action". Video clips, articles, and images about the activities of Khanh Hoa youth union members and youth in protecting the marine environment are regularly posted and widely shared, contributing to changing the awareness and behavior of people, especially young people. Many creative models have also been implemented such as: "Battery House" to collect properly discarded batteries; "Stone bench from plastic waste" have contributed to raising awareness of environmental protection in the community.
