Strengthening propaganda work on sea and islands in Vung Tau ward

On the afternoon of November 4, in Vung Tau ward (Ho Chi Minh city), Brigade 171, Naval Region 2 organized propaganda about seas and islands for more than 200 people, representing Party committees of Party cells and fishing boat owners in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Tuyen, Political Commissar, Reporter of Brigade 171, informed the main contents of the recent situation of sea and islands and forecasted the situation in the coming time; the viewpoints of our Party and State in protecting the sovereignty of sea and islands of the Fatherland; the results of the task of protecting the sovereignty of sea and islands of the Fatherland and building a modern Navy Service and Region 2.

Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City is a locality with a large number of fishing boats operating at sea. Fishermen in the ward are mainly locals and always comply with regulations on fishing and seafood at sea.

Since the beginning of 2025, Brigade 171 has coordinated with localities in Ho Chi Minh City to actively promote propaganda work on seas and islands. In particular, Brigade 171 has promoted activities in the program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore" and the program "Navy sponsors fishermen's children". These activities help cadres, party members and people better understand the viewpoints, policies and guidelines of our Party and State on the task of protecting sovereignty over seas and islands, while enhancing the role and responsibility of the people in protecting the sovereignty over seas and islands of the Fatherland.
