In order to develop the CBCT industry with focus and key points, the province has integrated the CBCT industry development indicators into the annual GRDP growth scenarios, considering this as one of the main pillars in the growth structure of the whole province. The assessment of the progress of implementing these indicators is carried out regularly through monthly meetings, in which the Provincial People's Committee organizes reviews and assessments of the current situation, promptly proposes specific tasks and solutions to remove difficulties, promote production and business in the CBCT industry. Thanks to that, the management work is carried out flexibly, proactively, closely following reality, ensuring to maintain the role of growth driver in each stage.
One of the key factors that helps Quang Ninh's CBCT industry develop strongly is thanks to its synchronous, transparent and long-term investment attraction policy. With the view that "the success of investors is the success of the province", Quang Ninh has strongly improved its investment and business environment, maintaining many consecutive years of being at the top of the country in terms of provincial competitiveness index (PCI), administrative reform index (PAR INDEX) and satisfaction index of people and organizations with the service of state administrative agencies (SIPAS). In particular, the province focuses on planning and synchronously developing modern industrial parks and economic zones, such as: Song Khoai Industrial Park (Quang Yen Town), Dong Mai Industrial Park (Quang Yen Town), Texhong Hai Ha Industrial Park (Hai Ha District), Quang Yen coastal economic zone... These industrial parks not only have synchronous technical infrastructure, convenient traffic connections, but are also supported with quick and convenient one-stop investment procedures.
Up to now, Quang Ninh has attracted many large domestic and foreign industrial corporations to invest in the CBCT sector, typically: Amata Group (Thailand), Foxconn (Taiwan), BW Industrial (Singapore), TCL (China), Thanh Cong Group (Vietnam)... Projects with a scale of hundreds to millions of USD not only create jobs for tens of thousands of workers but also contribute to the formation of a modern industrial ecosystem in the locality.
A representative of Tonly Vietnam Electronics Engineering Co., Ltd. (under Foxconn Group) said: The company has invested in a factory to produce smart speakers and headphones for consumer electronics since June 2020, with a scale of about 6,000 workers in Dong Mai Industrial Park, Quang Yen Town. We have always received the support and timely removal of difficulties from the Quang Ninh provincial government in the development roadmap. We are impressed with the increasingly synchronized traffic infrastructure in Quang Ninh, abundant human resources... These are advantages for us to continue investing and expanding production projects in Quang Ninh. In the long-term development orientation, the company continues to research and invest in new projects in this industrial park. Thereby, the goal of gradually forming a synchronous and efficient production chain will be realized.
By the end of 2024, the province will have a total of 1,273 enterprises operating in the CBCT industry for 21/24 sub-sectors of level 2 as prescribed in Decision No. 27/2018/QD-TTg dated July 6, 2018 of the Prime Minister , except for some industries such as: Tobacco production; production of coke and refined petroleum products; metal production. In industrial parks and economic zones in the province, there are currently 153 CBCT industrial enterprises and projects, accounting for about 12% of the total number of enterprises in the industry. The fields with a large number of enterprises and major contributions in this area include: Textile industry, garment manufacturing, electronic products, computers and optical products, specialized machinery and equipment manufacturing. The total registered investment capital in the CBCT industry in the province reached over 13.6 billion USD, of which enterprises and projects in economic zones and industrial parks accounted for a large proportion with 10.509 billion USD, accounting for 77.27% of the total registered capital. In the period of 2020-2024 alone, the total investment capital attracted by the industry reached about 8.869 billion USD, equivalent to 65.21% of the total accumulated investment capital of the industry. In particular, in the period of 2020-2024, the total contribution to the state budget of the CBCT industry reached over 12,052 billion VND; enterprises in economic zones and industrial parks contributed more than 4,876 billion VND.
Quang Ninh hopes to become the CBCT industrial center of the North in the near future. To realize this goal, the province is promoting the review and adjustment of industrial space planning towards specialization, prioritizing the development of high-tech industry, clean industry and supporting industry. Implementing investment attraction policies with specific incentive mechanisms for strategic investors in key industries such as: Electronic equipment, mechanical engineering, auto parts manufacturing... In addition, the province promotes the development of synchronous technical infrastructure, including electricity, water, logistics, seaports and railway connections, creating favorable conditions for businesses to expand production scale; promoting digital transformation, innovation, application of smart technology in production, aiming to build "smart industrial parks" and "smart factories"; focusing on improving the quality of human resources through linkages between the state, schools and businesses, training high-tech workers to meet the needs of modern industry...
