(HBĐT) - Kim Boi possesses abundant resources, especially valuable hot springs, along with many beautiful landscapes, the ancient Dong Thech relic site, and the unique cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group... These are potential strengths that create favorable conditions for the district to develop socio-economic aspects, especially tourism .

Serena Resort in Sao Bay commune (Kim Boi district) is an attractive tourist destination for visitors seeking relaxation and unique experiences.
For a long time, Kim Boi has been positioned on the national tourism map. The hot spring resort, established several decades ago, has been expanded and maintained, creating a distinctive mark for Kim Boi tourism. In recent years, the district has continued to affirm its position on the tourism map with high-quality destinations. Among them is the Serena Resort in Sao Bay commune, with a first phase area of approximately 30 hectares, planned as a 4-star resort with VIP villas, conference facilities, the Non restaurant, hot mineral water swimming pools, and a Japanese-style onsen… In addition, the district also has many other tourist spots and areas such as An Lac Ecofarm, V'Resort Vinh Tien, Cuu Thac Tu Son… offering fairly good service quality, catering to various customer segments and bringing satisfaction to tourists. Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan ( Hanoi ) shared: "This is my first time visiting Kim Boi. The air here is fresh and relaxing; The reception was warm and thoughtful. If I have the chance, I will bring my whole family here to experience it.The number of tourists and tourism revenue in Kim Boi district is increasing. In the first six months of 2023, the district welcomed 250,000 visitors, including 1,000 international tourists and 249,000 domestic tourists; total tourism revenue reached nearly 180 billion VND.
Currently, the Muong Dong area is attracting the attention of many businesses and investors who are researching and surveying the implementation of high-quality tourism investment projects, with 25 projects such as: Habi Valley Kim Boi residential and commercial complex; cable car tourist area in Cuoi Ha; high-end resort and golf course in Binh Son commune... Among them, Asia Pacific Corporation, part of the APEC Group, is implementing a high-end resort and 5-star hotel project in Mo Da area, Bo town. SunGroup is surveying and researching a cultural and resort tourism complex project in Lac Son and Kim Boi districts. In addition, to develop tourism and attract tourists, Kim Boi district focuses on building infrastructure, especially transportation routes, to facilitate tourist visits and sightseeing.
Ms. Hoang Tuyet Mai, CEO of An Lac EcoFarm & Hot Springs, said: "To attract tourists, we don't just focus on building facilities. We understand that visitors to Kim Boi want to reconnect with nature and meet friendly people, so we build in a green, clean, and beautiful direction to serve guests more professionally and systematically. Our main focus is on preserving the natural beauty of the landscape."
In the province's tourism development plan for the coming years, Kim Boi has been identified as a key area for developing high-quality eco-tourism and resort tourism. Currently, the Hoa Binh - Hanoi regional connecting road project and the Son La (Hoa Binh - Moc Chau) expressway project have commenced construction. Once completed, these projects, along with Highway 12B, will facilitate Kim Boi district's transformation into a large-scale tourism center. It is expected that upon completion, the travel time from Hanoi to Kim Boi district will be reduced to approximately one hour by car, opening up significant opportunities for tourism in the "golden cup" region of Muong Dong to flourish.
Kim Boi is blessed with beautiful natural landscapes, including a system of caves, mountain ranges, and majestic forests. Furthermore, the district is renowned for its rich Muong ethnic culture. To capitalize on these potentials and strengths, the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee have focused on leading and directing investment to improve the quality of tourism services, striving to become a high-quality tourism center of Hoa Binh province. With sound and timely policies in promotion and investment attraction, it is expected that Kim Boi's tourism will "take off".
