In 2025, more than 18,400 candidates will apply for the 10th grade entrance exam in Vinh Phuc province.
The entrance exam for non-specialized public grade 10 in Vinh Phuc for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 1 and 2, 2025. Candidates applying to Vinh Phuc Specialized High School will take the specialized subject exam on June 3.
According to the plan, candidates will take 3 compulsory exams, including: Math, Literature and English. Tomorrow morning, June 2, candidates will take the Math exam. For candidates taking the entrance exam to Vinh Phuc Specialized High School, in addition to the 3 exams above, there will be an additional specialized subject exam according to regulations with a time limit of 150 minutes.
From this year, according to the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, there are 3 methods of admission to grade 10 of high school: entrance exam, admission review or a combination of entrance exam and admission review. The selection of admission method is under the authority of the locality.
Regarding the entrance exam method for grade 10 high school, to ensure consistency and implement the policy of a light and inexpensive exam, the Ministry of Education and Training generally stipulates the implementation of 3 subjects and exams, including: Math, Literature and a third subject or exam selected by the Department of Education and Training.
The third exam subject is selected from among the subjects assessed by scores in the secondary school generaleducation program, ensuring that the same third exam subject is not selected for more than 3 consecutive years.
For high schools under the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, colleges, and research institutes that organize their own entrance exams, the third exam subject or a combination exam of a number of remaining subjects will be selected by the Ministry of Education and Training, universities, colleges, and research institutes directly managed by them.
