The Foreign Language exam was "easy", candidates were excited to finish the first day of the exam

On the afternoon of June 6, at Dong Da Secondary School (Binh Thanh District) exam site, many candidates left in an excited mood after finishing the Foreign Language exam.

As one of the first three candidates to leave the exam site, Vu Nguyen Duc Anh, a student of class 9A8, Dong Da Secondary School, said that this year's English exam was not difficult.

This candidate was happy because the topic of the reading passage (reading section) was about environmental protection, which was quite familiar to students, so the vocabulary was not too difficult. However, this was the part where he spent a lot of time reading the questions carefully to avoid confusing the answers.

Besides, the questions about pronunciation and word form were not too difficult for this candidate. If the candidate stays calm and uses the method of deduction, he can choose the correct answer.

Most of the students were in an excited mood because the exam was not too difficult.

For Nguyen Tran Van Anh, a student of class 9A12, Dien Bien Secondary School (Binh Thanh District), the English test was relatively easy. The most difficult part of the test was the reading passage because some vocabulary was outside the curriculum, so she had to guess the meaning.

This candidate predicted that he would get 7 points in the Foreign Language exam. This year, he registered his first choice at Phan Dang Luu High School, so he felt quite comfortable.

Nguyen Anh Khoa, a 9A2 student at Phu My Secondary School (Binh Thanh District), said that the word form section was quite simple because he had already thoroughly reviewed most of the vocabulary in the program in class.

However, this candidate had difficulty with the reading test because there was a lot of unfamiliar vocabulary. I predict that I will get 6-7 points in the Foreign Language exam.

Vo Tuan Khanh, a 9/3 student at Binh Quoi Tay Secondary School (Binh Thanh District), said that with this year's exam, scores of 9 and 10 will be very difficult, but a score of 7 is achievable. The difficult questions are not concentrated in any specific part but are scattered throughout the exam.

In particular, Nguyen Minh Long, a 9A6 student at Dong Da Secondary School (Binh Thanh District), said that the 10th grade entrance exam was easier than the mock test he had taken at school. This candidate said he had more than half the time to do the test. This year, the vocabulary questions (word form) did not pose any challenge to the candidates.

In general, candidates assessed that the first day of the exam was quite easy, and the cool weather also helped candidates have the best spirit to do the exam.

According to quick statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, during the Foreign Language exam, there were no candidates in the city who violated exam regulations. The total number of absent candidates was 383.

Previously, in the morning Literature exam, 375 candidates were absent. Information collected from 158 exam sites showed that there were 5 cases of candidates violating the regulations. Of these, 2 candidates were 20 minutes late (arriving at the exam site at 8:20 am) and were therefore not allowed to take the exam according to regulations.

In addition, there were 2 cases of candidates violating the exam regulations by bringing their phones into the exam room. In these cases, the exam sites suspended the exam and confiscated the phones, sent them to security to check the equipment and confirm that no exam papers were sent out, and at the same time, made a record of the suspension according to regulations.

In particular, one candidate who opened documents in the exam room had his documents confiscated and was given a warning.
