English exam for 10th grade in Ho Chi Minh City, students laughed out loud: "What an easy test!"

Laughter and comments accompanied by the word "easy" were the expressions of many candidates in Ho Chi Minh City after leaving the English exam room in the 10th grade entrance exam this afternoon.

Most candidates rated the test as easier than previous years, easier than studying and taking practice tests at school.

Candidates shared with each other about the test in a happy mood because the test was easy to score. Many candidates were excited and encouraged their parents who were waiting for their children at the school gate: "It was very easy, much easier than the mock test we took at school."

Many candidates even said that the most surprising thing for them when taking the English test was that the test was easier than they imagined. Many candidates boldly gave themselves 8-9 points in this test.

Khanh Ngoc, a student at Phuoc Binh Secondary School, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, said she was quite surprised because the English test was easier than she imagined it would be, easier than studying for the test at school.

According to Ngoc, there are almost no questions in the test that are meant to trick or classify students. Students with good academic ability can handle this test well.

Without giving herself a specific score, Ngoc expressed her comfort and joy at the easy English test.

In 2024, foreign language is the subject with the best score among the 3 subjects in the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, out of nearly 100,000 candidates taking the exam, more than 1,700 candidates scored 10 points, more than 14,700 candidates scored from 9 to 9.75 points. And only more than 29,000 candidates scored below 5 points in foreign language.
