Math exam for grade 10 in Ho Chi Minh City

According to teachers from the HOCMAIEducation System, the 10th grade Math entrance exam of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training for the 2023-2024 school year maintains a stable structure compared to the 2022-2023 school year while slightly increasing the difficulty in knowledge and skills requirements.

The test consists of 8 large problems with high practical application, approaching the ability assessment trend. Each problem consists of many small ideas with a stable scoring structure and is arranged in order from easy to difficult.

Regarding the scope of knowledge and difficulty, teachers said that compared to the 2022-2023 exam, the 2023-2024 exam has a similar structure and increased difficulty.

The content of the exam is within the secondary school curriculum and does not contain the simplified knowledge of the Ministry of Education and Training . Most of the questions in the exam are familiar types of questions, similar to the exams of recent years.

In particular, exercise number 7 is an exercise to assess the candidate's reading comprehension, reasoning and logical thinking ability, and this is an inevitable trend to assess students' abilities.

Although this is not a new type of problem (solving a problem by creating a system of equations) for students, to solve this problem, it requires candidates to have clear, coherent thinking and good analytical and reasoning skills.
