On May 7, the Department of Science and Technology held a conference to evaluate and accept the provincial-level science and technology task "Developing a plan to prevent and respond to risks and threats to the environmental security of surface water sources in Hung Yen province" chaired by the Institute of Non-Traditional Security.

Hung Yen is a province with a dense river network and abundant surface water resources. However, the province is facing a number of risks, challenges, and threats to environmental security in general and surface water security in particular. After 14 months, the Project Management Board has conducted research and clarified the current situation of environmental pollution and threats to surface water security in Hung Yen province, which are becoming more complicated, affecting the stability and sustainable development of the province in the short and long term.

Through that, the Project Management Board proposed preventive solutions to improve the effectiveness of ensuring environmental security of surface water sources in the province, including: Implementing legal solutions to prevent and ensure environmental security of surface water sources; developing and implementing a set of indicators for environmental security management of surface water sources; developing and implementing plans to prevent and ensure environmental security of surface water sources...

The acceptance council members gave constructive comments and completed the task and voted to evaluate the task as meeting the requirements.
