Recently, the British Royal Cave Association (BCRA) has just announced the 3 largest caves in the world , including Son Doong Cave and En Cave in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, ranked first and third. This immediately attracted a large number of young people who love to travel and explore to Quang Binh.
Among them, Deer Cave in Gunung Mulu National Park (Malaysia), is only 100m high, 90m wide, and 2km long, far behind the parameters of Son Doong Cave in Quang Binh which is more than 150m wide, 200m high, and 2km long.
This is really good news for the tourism industry in Quang Binh, because after the above information was announced, there were signs of more tourists coming to Phong Nha - Ke Bang even though the Covid-19 epidemic has not ended.

In 2009, when announcing Guinness, the organizers drew a picture of Son Doong cave with a length of nearly 9km in the easiest way to imagine. With a depth of nearly 80m, and a height of 200m of Son Doong cave, a Boeing 747 can fly through the cave mouth. Or more simply, people can hide a New York neighborhood with 40-storey buildings in this cave. En cave, in Phong Nha - Ke Bang, is ranked 3rd with a length of nearly 2km, with the largest and most famous cave entrance being 120m high and 140m wide. The proud thing is that the cave ranked 4th in the world is also in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. That is Pygmy cave, with a length of 845m, a height and width of more than 100m, located in the same system as Tiger cave, Over cave is quite large. While BCRA researchers are interested in Phong Nha - Ke Bang because it is considered a natural museum containing information about the formation of the earth's crust over 400 million years, tourists are amazed by its wild natural beauty. Phong Nha - Ke Bang has a natural, mysterious beauty that few places in the world have, and it is worth coming here to admire at least once in our lives. In fact, no Vietnamese person has been able to visit the entire Phong Nha cave system with 157 caves and a total length of over 103km. Even setting foot in the dome cave system with 58 caves and a length of over 48km, the Nuoc Mooc cave system with 60 caves and over 20km is considered a miracle. In recent years, domestic and foreign tourists often come to explore Phong Nha, Tien Son, Son Doong, Thien Duong, Va, En, Suoi Nuoc Mooc caves... Currently, Quang Binh province has a policy of reducing entrance fees, stimulating demand, and tourism product operators in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park also have strategies to reduce tour prices and increase service quality. Up to now, Tien Son is a famous beautiful cave in Phong Nha - Ke Bang area, discovered in 1935 and is increasingly visited by tourists. Initially, local people called this cave Dry Cave, to distinguish it from Phong Nha Cave, which is Water Cave. Due to its mysterious and magical beauty, it was later called Tien Son Cave. The entrance to Tien Son Cave is located about 1,000 m from Phong Nha Cave, at an altitude of 200 m above sea level. Tien Son Cave is a place with majestic and magical stalactites and stalagmites like in Phong Nha Cave, but has its own unique feature: the sounds emitted from the stone slabs and stone pillars when tapped echo like the sound of gongs and drums. For that reason, the stalactites here are considered the most majestic in Phong Nha - Ke Bang Heritage. According to BCRA explorers, Tien Son Cave was formed tens of millions of years ago, when a stream of water flowing through the mountain hollowed out and eroded Ke Bang limestone mountain. Later, due to geological formation, this mountain was either raised or lowered, causing the rock blocks to collapse, blocking the flow, creating Tien Son Cave above, and the part with underground rivers flowing through created Phong Nha Cave below. Tien Son Cave attracts visitors not only because of its beauty, but this place is also associated with legends and fairy tales along with the friendly people of Quang Binh. With such mysterious beauty at the beginning of the year, sitting on a boat gliding gently on the blue Son River and climbing 330 steps to enter Thien Son Cave is the choice of many people with good health and a passion for conquering heights and exploring beauty.
