Depay is suspected of making a girl pregnant. |
According to entertainment journalist Fabia Oliveira, the girl named Lary Simoes, a model and influencer from Bahia state with more than 42,000 followers on Instagram . She met Depay in February after a birthday party. Lary confirmed that the two quickly developed an intimate relationship, but everything changed completely when she announced her pregnancy about a month ago.
"Depay did not react positively when he learned that I was pregnant. He cut off contact and did not reply to messages anymore," Lary told the Brazilian newspaper. She said that no lawyer or representative of the Dutch star had contacted her to discuss the baby.
Journalist Oliveira also published a series of photos said to be proof of their relationship, including a photo of Depay wearing a tank top lying on the sofa next to Lary, a positive pregnancy test photo she sent him, and a signed Corinthians shirt Depay gave her.
For his part, Depay - who is currently playing for Corinthians after a period of failure at MU and Barcelona - has not yet spoken out. Instead, he only posted a "confusing" status on social media, further stirring up public opinion.
This is not the first time Depay has been in trouble in Brazil. Earlier this month, he was dropped from the Dutch national team by coach Ronald Koeman after reporting a lost passport and arriving late to training.
