According to The Gamer , Diablo IV will have a completely new story, witnessing the return of Lilith, Mephisto's daughter, who was imprisoned in a dungeon for thousands of years. She was freed and began to search for power to rule the world .
Players will have to take on one of the main characters, Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid or Rogue, and participate in missions to chase Lilith across Sanctuary and stop her plot, saving the world from the domination of darkness.
Diablo IV will let you skip levels in Campaign mode
Through some of the footage revealed about the story (Campaign), it looks like this will be a fun few hours of gameplay before opening up to end-game scale activities, or maybe even harder levels.
But players probably won't need to complete the main story multiple times on multiple characters. This was hinted at in some leaked screenshots in October 2022, when Diablo community director Adam Fletcher confirmed that there would be a skip story feature in Diablo IV. However, players will have to beat the story once to unlock it.
There will be many players who love the feature because it saves time playing Diablo, but there have also been some concerns that Blizzard will charge for this feature.
Menu allows skipping levels in Campaign mode
Fans have pointed out that Destiny 2 's story skipping feature now requires users to pay. When the Lightfall expansion came out, Destiny fans were disappointed to learn that they could also skip the story after beating it once, but they would have to pay $20 for the privilege.
Now, Diablo fans are worried that Blizzard will follow Destiny's lead. Diablo IV will feature level skipping, but whether or not this feature will be free remains to be seen. There are also concerns about whether the feature will be unlocked permanently or only once per season.
Everything is still just speculation and fans will need to wait until June 6 to know everything.
