Bac Giang: Removing legal barriers, promoting e-commerce

DNVN - E-commerce is opening up great opportunities for Bac Giang businesses to reach out in the digital economy. However, many legal barriers are still obstacles that make many businesses confused in implementation.

At the training conference on “State Management of E-commerce” on May 30 in Bac Giang, Mr. La Van Nam – Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang emphasized the increasingly important role of e-commerce in developing the digital economy and digital transformation. In Bac Giang, e-commerce is becoming a pillar of socio-economic development, thanks to the explosion of technology infrastructure and the diversity of online business models.

However, Mr. Nam also frankly pointed out many challenges in management, especially in building and effectively applying legal policies.

“We need to perfect the legal framework to protect consumers, support sellers and strictly handle violations in the e-commerce environment,” said Mr. Nam.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang province asked experts to focus on guiding the identification of common fraudulent behaviors such as fraud via livestream, selling fake goods, unfair competition... on platforms such as Facebook, Zalo or Instagram.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX) affirmed that e-commerce is an important driving force to help businesses improve business efficiency, expand markets and increase labor productivity.

Current legal regulations not only create a clear legal corridor, but also contribute to building a transparent, fair and sustainable online business environment.

In addition to presenting important legal regulations, Mr. Tuan also shared more about the processes and procedures for registering e-commerce websites with the Ministry of Industry and Trade - an important step to help businesses do business online more legally and professionally.

At the conference, experts focused on analyzing common violations in the field of e-commerce and proposed effective solutions. Content such as identifying fraud in livestream sales, identifying signs of “ghost” e-commerce websites, or inspection procedures were presented specifically and practically, receiving special attention from the local business community.

To continue supporting businesses to overcome legal barriers, eComDX representative said that the center will deploy many specialized training programs in the coming time. At the same time, it will provide technology solutions and consulting to help businesses optimize e-commerce activities - from analyzing customer data, building digital marketing strategies to ensuring transaction security.
