COVID-19 epidemic today: Infections increased in the past 24 hours

Regarding the COVID-19 epidemic situation today , the Ministry of Health said that from 4:00 p.m. on July 30 to 4:00 p.m. on July 31, the whole country recorded 28 infections, double the number of cases the previous day.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,621,840 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,447 infections per 1 million people).

During the day, one more patient was announced to be cured, bringing the total number of cured cases to 10,640,331. The whole country has no more serious patients requiring oxygen.

The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The number of deaths ranks 26th out of 231 territories, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories in the world .

The country has now administered more than 2,665 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. According to the Ministry of Health , COVID-19 vaccines will still be provided free of charge in 2023. The funding for this plan comes from the state budget, the COVID-19 vaccine fund, and aid, sponsorship, and support from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, and other cooperative capital sources.
