The Mathematics Pedagogy major (teaching Mathematics in English) has a benchmark score of 26.65, the highest with the method of considering the test scores to assess the capacity to enter Hanoi National University of Education.
On June 12, Hanoi National University of Education announced the admission scores based on the competency assessment test scores organized by the school. Mathematics Education taught in English is the only major with a benchmark score above 26. The other three majors with a benchmark score of 25 or higher include Mathematics Education, considering the scores of Mathematics and Chemistry (25), Mathematics Education considering the scores of Mathematics and Physics (25.28), and PrimaryEducation - English Education (25.1).
In the teacher training group, Technology Education has the lowest entrance score - 15 points. Biology and Support for Education for the Disabled in the non-Pedagogy group also have this score.
The above scores are based on the results of the competency assessment test of two subjects, one of which is multiplied by a factor of 2 (total maximum score of 30).
Specific benchmark scores for each major of Hanoi Pedagogical University are as follows:
The Hanoi National University of Education's aptitude test took place on May 6 with 8 subjects: Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History and Geography. Of which, the Literature test had 30% multiple choice questions and 70% essay questions, while the other subjects were 70% multiple choice questions and 30% essay questions. More than 4,600 candidates took the test.
In addition to this school, 7 other schools also use the exam results for admission, including Ho Chi Minh City University of Education; the Pedagogical schools of Hue, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang Universities; Vinh University (Nghe An), Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 (Vinh Phuc) and Quy Nhon University.
For Hanoi Pedagogical University, candidates applying for admission based on their competency assessment test scores must have good conduct in all semesters and an average score of 6.5 or higher for 5 semesters (grades 10, 11 and semester I of grade 12).
In addition to admission based on competency assessment test scores, Hanoi National University of Education uses four other methods, including direct admission, based on high school graduation exam scores, based on high school transcripts, and combined admission with aptitude test results for some majors. The total enrollment target is about 7,000.
