(NADS) - Using "doctors" without a practice license causing complications for patients, operating outside of registered hours, false advertising,... are a series of serious violations of Kumoho Asia Beauty Salon.
On May 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced the results of an inspection of Kumoho Asia Cosmetic Clinic, located at 402 An Duong Vuong, Ward 4, District 5 (Ho Chi Minh City), which was found to have committed a series of serious violations.
The Health Department Inspectorate discovered that Kumoho Asia posted medical examination and treatment advertising clips on Facebook without the content of the advertisements being verified according to legal regulations. These advertisements used words such as “top class” without any legal documents to prove it. This not only violated the law on medical advertising but also caused serious misunderstanding for consumers.
What is more alarming is that Kumoho Asia has used unlicensed practitioners to perform medical techniques. One specific case reported was that liposuction and buttock fat grafting at Kumoho Asia Beauty Center resulted in an abscess complication, forcing the patient to be hospitalized for prolonged treatment. This not only seriously violated the law but also put the patient's health and life in danger.
In addition, this clinic was also found to be operating outside the hours registered in the License, an act that shows blatant disrespect and disobedience to the law.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has promptly requested that all hospitals in the city, when receiving patients with signs and medical histories suspected of being related to techniques and surgeries of other facilities, immediately notify the Department of Health Inspectorate for handling according to regulations.
At the same time, the Department of Health also called on people to be highly vigilant against advertising information on social platforms. When detecting illegal, false advertisements, signs of forgery, and fraud in the medical field, people can call the hotline 0989.401.155 or upload information to the "Online Health" application for timely handling by authorities.
The Kumoho Asia incident is once again a wake-up call for strict compliance with legal regulations in the healthcare sector. The safety and health of the public cannot be placed in the hands of medical facilities that operate irresponsibly and violate the law. Therefore, it is necessary to be vigilant and proactive in reporting violations to protect the community from potential risks.
