One of the outstanding activities ineducation and life skills training for students of Nguyen Trung Truc High School is maintaining the activities of the Red Flamboyant Club. Mr. Dang Phu Vinh, Secretary of the School Youth Union, said that with the program "Visiting friends' houses", the School Youth Union organizes visits to the homes of students in difficult circumstances in the school to visit, encourage, give gifts, cash (worth 1 million VND) on average 1 student per month. The program has been implemented since 2014. Over 11 years, the school has supported nearly 140 students in difficult circumstances. For the program "Volunteering for community life", students in the club visit, encourage, give gifts to people with disabilities, orphans, lonely elderly people in and outside the locality. At the same time, organize campaigns to clean up and sanitize the environment. Activities are organized on holidays, anniversaries, action months, etc.

With humanitarian gestures, the programs launched by the Red Flamboyant Club attracted a large number of students to respond. Nguyen Ngoc Minh Thu, a student of class 12A1, said that she has participated in the Red Flamboyant Club for nearly 3 years. “Through the activities, I learned and knew more from visits to friends' homes, disabled children, lonely elderly people and revolutionary veterans. There, I got to see other lives and hear stories that made me feel more grateful and appreciate my life. What impressed me when joining the club was the spirit of the students. Every year, the club has many activities, but they still participate very enthusiastically" - Minh Thu shared.

Life skills training

Sharing about the establishment of the Red Flamboyant Club, Mr. Dang Phu Vinh said that in 2019, Tri Ton District Youth Union asked the School Youth Union to organize a playground for primary school students in Chau Lang commune. Mr. Vinh gathered the students to establish the club, and at the same time organized fun and entertainment activities for them. Receiving positive feedback from the District Youth Union, together with the students, the School Youth Union decided to maintain and expand the club's activities until now. In addition to Tri Ton town, the club also organizes activities in Nui To and Chau Lang communes... The cost of the gifts is mainly contributed by benefactors and the support of students in the school.

Not stopping there, Nguyen Trung Truc High School's Youth Union also established a Reading Club, attracting a large number of students to participate. With activities such as composing and reciting poems; singing songs set to music, reading poems expressively, designing calligraphy... Through 18 meetings, the club has contributed to developing a reading culture for students. In particular, the Youth Union also coordinated with the Loving Cake Kitchen Club - Teacher Truong's Cakes, Ngoc Thu Cake Shop (Tri Ton town) to establish the School Cake - Kitchen Club. Here, students are instructed on how to prepare various types of cakes: Bread, sponge cake, Pizza...

Equipping life skills helps students consolidate knowledge about life, have proper behavior in social relationships; know how to love, share feelings, protect the living environment, and respond to unexpected events in life. Therefore, Nguyen Trung Truc High School Youth Union will continue to maintain and innovate content, organize practical activities, enhance life skills education for students... contributing to building a healthy and civilized learning environment.
