The model of "Smart Mass Mobilization" becomes the driving force for development

Thoai Son district is very successful with the model of "Skilled mass mobilization" in mobilizing the establishment of a scholarship fund at the district and commune levels.

Results achieved

Sharing about the effectiveness of the movement, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Ngoc said that this model has aroused the internal strength of the people. When people clearly understand the policies and are listened to, they will become the main subjects in the movements launched by the locality. "Through the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model, authorities at all levels have mobilized consensus and support from the people; effectively resolved many issues arising from the grassroots, thereby building a close relationship between the Party, the government and the people in the area, making the people have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party" - Mr. Ngoc analyzed.

In recent times, many "Smart Mass Mobilization" models in localities in the province have promoted positive effects, becoming "driving forces" in socio -economic development in the area, such as promoting the conversion of crop and livestock structures, converting ineffective rice fields to growing mangoes for export in Vinh Xuong, Vinh Hoa, Phu Loc communes... in Tan Chau town. "With the mobilization of local authorities, people together switched to growing Hoa Loc sand mango, Keo mango, and green-skinned elephant mango for ineffective rice fields, so their lives have improved significantly" - Ms. Le Thi Hanh (Vinh Xuong commune, Tan Chau town) shared. Ms. Hanh said that in the years when mango exports were strong, there were times when Hoa Loc sand mangoes were sold at the garden for 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, many households earned billions of VND/year. With a stable income, people actively returned to contribute to building new rural areas in the locality.

In the past time, the whole province has deployed over 3,100 "Smart Mass Mobilization" models in all fields: Economy, culture - society, national defense - security, building the political system. The total mobilized value is over 345 billion VND, of which 294 billion VND at the district level and 51 billion VND at the provincial level. In 2024, units in the province registered 1,106 models, but the implementation results exceeded 167%, with 1,856 models. More than 800 models are highly quantitative, clearly impacting people's lives, such as supporting livelihoods and taking care of social security. “The field of “Skilled mass mobilization in new rural construction” has made a breakthrough, from 242 registered models, the results of implementing 1,080 models, exceeding 446%. The province also piloted 192 “advanced new rural” models, demonstrating a strategic step in building a modern and civilized rural area” - Mr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc shared.

Future direction

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Chau Town Huynh Van Minh shared that in order for the socio-economic development to be sustainable, there needs to be consensus and active participation of the people. In this regard, "people's mobilization" is not only a mobilization tool, but also a solution to mobilize resources, solve problems from the grassroots, and strengthen the flesh-and-blood relationship between the Party, the State and the People. Thanks to good mobilization and propaganda work, people in the province not only understand and agree, but also proactively contribute human and material resources to projects serving the common interest, typically in Cho Moi district, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has synchronously deployed 4 projects on bridges, roads, houses, and flowers in the period of 2021 - 2025 with the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect". Through the summary, the program has mobilized more than 250 billion VND from people and businesses to build new rural areas, social security work, etc.

The province's "Smart Mass Mobilization" movement has truly entered people's lives and become a driving force in local socio-economic development. In the coming time, the province will continue to promote this movement, while continuing to innovate methods, replicate effective models, and closely link with local political tasks.
