Together with farmers' associations at all levels across the country, in recent times, the Farmers' Association of Dak Lak province has continuously innovated its content and methods of operation, synchronously implemented many practical solutions, becoming a solid support for members and farmers to strive to get rich and develop sustainably. Currently, the whole province has 310,730 farmers participating in the association; models of branches and professional associations are continuously replicated, becoming places for activities, sharing experiences and linking production effectively.

In addition, capital and science and technology support are also outstanding activities, creating leverage for farmers to develop the economy . The total capital from the Farmers Support Fund of the entire association system currently reaches over 109 billion VND, thereby supporting many farming households to develop effective production and business models; organizing training for 320,196 members and supporting the construction and replication of more than 1,200 production models applying scientific and technical advances. In particular, the activities of connecting and consuming agricultural products are also of special interest to the association at all levels, helping many agricultural products of the province to have a firm foothold in the market.

Many commune-level farmers' associations have played a good role, contributing to helping tens of thousands of members develop the economy. For example, the Farmers' Association of Hoa Thinh commune has more than 2,300 households achieving the title of good farmers and businessmen at all levels; including many young farmers who boldly invest in machinery, apply mechanization and digital transformation in agriculture . Creating conditions for farmers to expand their production scale, the association has acted as a bridge to help farmers access preferential credit sources, with a total outstanding debt of about 26 billion VND/year. In particular, every year, the Farmers' Association of Hoa Thinh commune also proactively coordinates and links with sectors and cooperatives, opening training courses to transfer science and technology to more than 2,000 farmer members.

In the coming period, the Dak Lak Farmers' Association will focus on supporting farmers in economic development, striving to become rich sustainably; building a model of civilized and modern farmers; promoting economic development according to the green and clean production model associated with digital transformation; and especially focusing on developing collective economy, production according to value chains, organic agriculture, and circular agriculture.

Promoting its core role, the Ea Knuec Commune Farmers' Association has also become a solid support, promoting patriotic emulation movements, creating a strong driving force to help farmers transform production, develop the economy and improve their lives. Notably, the movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" has created a strong influence, arousing the will to rise in the community. Up to now, the whole commune has 1,308 households recognized with the title "Good Farmer in Production and Business" at all levels; many households have become millionaires and billionaires, with an income of billions of VND each year from their economic models. In particular, the successful development of 3 OCOP products with 3 stars or more has significantly contributed to increasing the value of agricultural products, building brands and increasing sustainable income for people.

The whole province currently has nearly 132,000 households achieving the title of "Good farmers and businessmen"; thousands of exemplary farmers have become the core, linking with businesses to purchase products, supporting more than 3,500 households to escape poverty sustainably.

Through this movement, a new class of farmers is being formed - not only knowing how to do business well, knowing how to apply technology to production, but also willing to share and support the community. They are not only the ones who produce quality agricultural products but also pioneers in practicing digital transformation, linking consumption, and building OCOP brands.

As one of the first farmers in Tuy Hoa ward to boldly invest in raising swiftlets, Ms. Tran Bao Chau now owns 8 swiftlet houses, with a total area of over 2,500 m², harvesting about 300 kg of bird's nests each year. Not stopping at picking and processing nests, Ms. Chau has digitized all production processes, building a closed process from raw bird's nests to finished products. In particular, Ms. Chau also actively shares her experience in managing and handling problems in swiftlet houses; instructing on techniques for processing, building nests, and building brands... for local swiftlet farming households.

Ms. Chau shared that doing agriculture also requires innovative thinking, considering quality as the foundation, brand as reputation. Currently, bird's nest products are all fully tested for food hygiene and safety, have traceability and Khang Chau bird's nest products have been certified with 4-star OCOP.

Similarly, after retiring, Mr. Nguyen An Son (Tien Dat village, Cu M'gar commune) took over his family's 6.5-hectare coffee garden and boldly changed the traditional farming method. He applied the method of planting multiple stems without restraining the tops combined with the Israeli drip irrigation system. Thanks to that, the garden's productivity increased 1.5 times, reaching an average of 5.5 tons of beans/ha, while significantly reducing labor and 30% of inorganic fertilizer compared to the old method. Because of his bold change in production thinking, his coffee garden achieved an annual profit of 980 million VND. Mr. Son believes that coffee production must be safe for the environment, producers and consumers. In the context of global economic integration, there are many intertwined opportunities and challenges, so farmers must also change their thinking to adapt.
