In an interview with Thanh Nien newspaper... This morning, from Thailand, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - General Secretary of the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation, Head of the Vietnamese delegation at the 2025 Asian Road Cycling Championships - said that the Vietnamese team has received 27 racing bicycles, 18 helmets, 18 pairs of racing shoes, and 18 sets of pedals from the organizing committee. "The host organizing committee has been very enthusiastic in supporting the Vietnamese cycling team. The equipment they sent is considered the best and fastest they could provide. Of course, the quality may not be exactly what we hoped for, but there are some good bikes that are suitable for competition. Immediately after receiving them, the Vietnamese team's coaching staff proceeded to assemble the bikes, check the equipment, and familiarize the athletes with the bikes," Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu said.
How much were the Vietnamese athletes' bicycles destroyed in the fire, and who suffered the most significant losses?

Regarding compensation for the damage to the 29 vehicles and equipment belonging to the Vietnamese team that were destroyed in a fire during transportation from Bangkok to Phitsanulok, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu said: "Up to now, the Vietnamese side and the organizing committee have not had any direct meetings, so there is no compensation plan yet. Previously, representatives of the organizing committee informed the Vietnamese team to compile a list of the vehicles and equipment involved in the fire; they have not yet requested purchase invoices. For our part, the Vietnamese team will compile a complete and accurate list of the damages. It is expected that today, the Vietnamese side, along with representatives of the host organizing committee of Thailand and the Asian Cycling Federation, will meet to discuss the compensation issue," Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu said.
