The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The forum was attended by more than 70 delegates from Venezuelan and Vietnamese businesses, government representatives and diplomatic missions in the host country.
In his opening speech at the Forum, Chairman of the Caracas Stock Exchange (BVC) José Grasso Vecchio warmly congratulated the Vietnamese people on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; a major milestone, a foundation for Vietnam to firmly enter a new era of national construction and development.

BVC Chairman José Grasso Vecchio emphasized that with a history of more than 78 years of establishment and development, BVC is currently actively contributing to the development of the Venezuelan economy ; hoping that by hosting the Vietnam-Venezuela Business Forum 2025, it will contribute to promoting economic and trade relations between the two countries, creating space. Useful exchanges between associations, businesses and organizations of the two countries have the opportunity to explore bilateral cooperation opportunities.
On behalf of the Venezuelan government , Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance and President of the National Treasury of Venezuela, Jimmy Alexander Berrios, said that the economy continues to maintain continuous growth momentum from 2021 to present; the first quarter of 2025 recorded a GDP growth rate of about 4.5%.
This result is thanks to the correct economic policy of the Venezuelan government, especially promoting the activities of 13 economic locomotives in the fields of energy, agriculture, trade, startups, etc. In this context, Venezuela is applying many preferential policies to attract foreign investment; wishing to welcome Vietnamese investors and businesses to do business in Venezuela.

Sharing with delegates attending the Forum, Chairman of the National Stock Exchange (SUNAVAL) Carlos Enrique Herrera expressed his admiration for Vietnam's achievements in socio-economic development, especially always linking economic development with improving and enhancing people's lives.
Chairman Herrera appreciated the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela for coordinating the organization of the Business Forum, considering it an opportunity for the business communities of the two countries to explore cooperation and investment opportunities to promote bilateral trade.
For his part, Ambassador Vu Trung My affirmed the consistent policy of the Party and State of Vietnam, always valuing the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership with Venezuela, wishing to deepen economic, trade and investment relations for the benefit of the people of the two countries.

Ambassador Vu Trung My also frankly pointed out that the current trade relations between the two countries are still modest, not commensurate with the potential, strengths as well as the good political relations between the two countries; hoping that businesses of the two countries, especially the private business community, maintain regular exchange mechanisms, find cooperation mechanisms suitable to the potential of both sides, contributing to promoting the economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Venezuela in the coming time.
Within the framework of the Forum, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce in Venezuela coordinated with chambers of commerce in countries in the region to introduce to delegates an overview of Vietnam's economy, its potentials and strengths in Vietnam's products in Venezuela and the Latin American market.
In the spirit of cooperation and openness, Vietnamese and Venezuelan businesses actively discussed the potential, strengths and needs of each side's market to seek cooperation opportunities in various fields.

On this occasion, President of the Venezuela-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (CAVENVIET) Oswaldo Hernández and General Director of Hoang Gia Viet International Food Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hoang, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on introducing, promoting and distributing Vietnamese agricultural machinery in the Venezuelan market.
