
As of October 31, 2025, the whole province has 3,066 Cooperative Groups; 1,529 Cooperatives, 4 Cooperative Unions with a total of 1,226 members, of which 146 cooperatives apply advanced technology in operation and production.
Over the years, the activities of cooperatives have had many positive changes, with quality and efficiency clearly improved. Through the activities of cooperatives and cooperative groups, members and business households have been able to exchange experiences and share information on production and business skills, contributing to improving the competitiveness of goods and reducing production costs. Cooperatives have contributed to solving many limitations of household economy , creating jobs and increasing income for local workers.
During the period from 2020 to 2025, the Provincial People's Committee has paid attention to supporting the cooperatives with funding; all levels and sectors have organized technical training, improved management and operation capacity, promoted trade, developed production according to chains and built key products in regions with OCOP products. Up to now, the whole province has 980 OCOP products with 3 stars or more, including 3 5-star products, 153 4-star products and 824 3-star products. Of these, 106 cooperatives have products in the cooperative sector with 184 OCOP products recognized with 3-4 stars; 18 cooperatives have been granted certificates according to VietGAP standards. During this period, the province had 9 cooperatives recognized by the Central Government as typical cooperatives nationwide and awarded the national Cooperative Star Award "CoopStar Awards" with 4 cooperative products honored with the first Mai An Tiem award (2024).

Currently, the whole province has 148 production and business cooperatives associated with product value chains, linking production, processing and product consumption with enterprises. Typical examples are cooperatives producing medicinal herbs: Cordyceps, lotus tea, safe vegetables, tubers, fruits, etc.
The activities of the cooperatives have brought high efficiency to the members, reducing costs and increasing income by 25% - 30%; the average income of each member is about 45 million VND/year. The whole province has 80% of agricultural cooperatives of good quality or better, 20% of average quality and each cooperative's revenue is over 1.2 billion VND/year, the average profit is about 70 million VND/cooperative/year.
To continue improving the capacity of developing collective economy and cooperatives, at the Forum, delegates focused on exchanging and sharing difficulties and obstacles in the operation process, such as: the State's support policy mechanism in developing agricultural cooperatives according to the value chain; building products that meet OCOP standards; current situation and solutions, policies to promote trade promotion activities; application of e-commerce in supporting the connection of supply, demand, and consumption of cooperative products; advisory work for local Party committees and authorities on policies to support the development of collective economy and cooperatives; digital transformation of electronic cooperative models and upgrading from individual business households to enterprises, improving the capacity of the private economic sector...

Speaking at the Forum, Comrade Dinh Hong Thai, Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, praised and acknowledged the contributions of the delegates. He affirmed that in order to improve the operational efficiency of cooperatives, in addition to the efforts of the Board of Directors of cooperatives and enterprises, there needs to be attention and active support from the State, all levels and sectors, especially the role and bridge of the Provincial Cooperative Alliance. At the same time, it is necessary to disseminate the policies and guidelines to support and develop the collective economic sector and cooperatives of the State in the coming time in a sustainable manner.
The organization of the Forum "Improving the capacity to develop collective economy and cooperatives in 2025" aims to encourage and facilitate the development of collective economy in the province in terms of quantity and quality. Thereby, orienting collective economic organizations to operate in accordance with the provisions of law and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of members and employees in collective economic organizations; supporting the development of effective cooperative models, becoming models for replication and attracting people, organizations and businesses to participate and associate with cooperatives.
