Ninh Hai Electricity ensures electricity supply during hot season

Ninh Hai Power Company is currently managing 43,893 customers, supplying electricity to 5 wards of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City including wards: Van Hai, My Binh, My Hai, Dong Hai, My Dong and 6 communes and towns of Ninh Hai district: Khanh Hai town, communes: Phuong Hai, Tri Hai, Nhon Hai, Thanh Hai and Vinh Hai. With a scale of 218.639km of medium voltage lines; 208.628km of low voltage lines; 706 transformer stations, total capacity of 156.22MVA.

To ensure power supply during the hot season, Ninh Hai Power Company has developed plans and prepared solutions for continuous, stable and safe power supply, meeting the daily and production needs of agencies, units, businesses and people in the area. Mr. Le Dinh Doan, Director of Ninh Hai Power Company, said: The hot season often leads to a significant increase in electricity demand, especially in densely populated areas and tourist areas. This is the time when cooling devices such as fans and air conditioners operate the most, increasing the highest power consumption, a challenge for the power system. During hot weather, the power system often operates at full or overload. This situation puts pressure on the power grid, which can lead to overload. According to records, the electricity output of consumers during the current hot season in many areas has increased, with a growth rate of 10% to 30% compared to normal months.

Prolonged severe heat and increased demand for electricity from customers can easily lead to the grid being fully loaded, even overloaded at certain times of the day, potentially causing local incidents on the grid. In response to the above assessment, to ensure the grid operates safely and continuously supplies electricity to customers during the hot summer of 2025, Ninh Hai Power Company has proactively developed a capital investment plan to build the grid to improve power supply capacity during the hot summer of 2025. Due to the proactive development of the plan, at the end of 2024 and the first 4 months of 2025, the unit has constructed and put into operation 8 newly built transformer stations and renovated and increased the capacity of 35 transformer stations along with the low-voltage grid, with a total implementation cost of about 22 billion VND. Therefore, by the beginning of the hot season in 2025, the power grid of the unit will do a good job of ensuring power supply and is forecast to ensure stable power supply during the hot season in 2025 for customers.

In addition to investing in construction, renovation and upgrading of the power grid, Ninh Hai Power Company also focuses on implementing a number of operational management tasks to proactively improve power supply capacity during the hot season such as: Maintaining and increasing the frequency of periodic and unscheduled inspections of the power grid; using thermal cameras to check the temperature of joints and contact points to promptly detect and fix heat-generating joints and contact deterioration to prevent incidents; using remote load monitoring software technology to identify, analyze and accurately evaluate the load chart of each area, promptly plan to increase the capacity of the fully loaded power grid area to ensure continuous power supply for customers... Deploying corridor clearing to ensure the safety of power lines. Strengthening the cleaning of the hotline power grid (cleaning without cutting off the power) to prevent electric discharges causing incidents. Strengthening and maintaining 24/24 electrical repair duty, leadership duty and semi-permanent duty to quickly fix power grid incidents (if any). Assigning staff to work 24/7 to resolve local overloads during peak hours. Using electricity economically and efficiently by customers is also one of the important solutions to help the electricity industry prevent overloads and reduce the "heat" of the grid system.

Not only focusing on investment and technology, Ninh Hai Electricity also strengthens propaganda work, instructing customers to use electricity safely, economically and effectively through many forms such as: Through the radio and television system in the commune, leaflets, social networks, Zalo customer care and direct propaganda at households, encouraging people to use energy-saving devices, turn off unnecessary devices, especially during peak hours; at the same time, warn of the risk of fire and explosion from improper use of electricity.
