Provincial General Hospital: Responding to World Hand Hygiene Day 2025

On the afternoon of June 3, Ninh Thuan General Hospital organized a hand hygiene campaign to respond to World Hand Hygiene Day (May 5) launched by the World Health Organization (WHO).

This year, World Hand Hygiene Day with the message "Gloves cannot replace hand hygiene", meaning that gloves cannot replace clean hands in protecting patients and preventing cross-infection. Therefore, medical staff still need to strictly follow the 5 times of hand hygiene. At the ceremony, doctors from the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poisoning, Nephrology and Urology Department discussed the role of clean hands in safe patient care. In addition, the hospital launched a hand hygiene movement throughout the hospital with activities such as: Launching the emulation movement "Clean hands - Safe care"; training hand hygiene for medical staff,... At the same time, leaders of departments, rooms, and medical staff signed a commitment in the Campaign "Gloves cannot replace hand hygiene".
