Binh Duong province's planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is considered an important tool, a "compass" for Binh Duong province to orient, operate and manage all socio-economic development activities, and develop territorial space in the province towards rapid and sustainable development in the coming period.

According to the Draft Construction Planning Project with a vision to 2050, Binh Duong will become a modern urban, industrial and service area of regional and international stature, one of the locomotives promoting national economic development with the main growth drivers being industry, services and innovation, with a solid economic foundation and high competitiveness; people with income levels equivalent to those of developed countries; and an inclusive and harmonious economic development among regions.

Transport infrastructure in Binh Duong province is invested in, serving as a lever for socio-economic development.

Development goal by 2030, build and develop Binh Duong together with other provinces and cities in the Southeast region into an important growth engine of the country, promoting and spreading development to localities in the region; one of the dynamic and comprehensive development centers; a modern industrial and service center; a sustainable urban area following the green growth model, adapting to climate change; a region with solid national defense - security and international cooperation and competition.

The average economic growth rate in the 2021-2030 period will reach about 10%/year. Of which, the 2021-2025 period will reach about 8.2%/year; the 2026-2030 period will reach about 12%/year. The population by 2030 will reach 4.04 million people.

Organizing the socio-economic space of Binh Duong province according to the model of the Innovative Industrial Urban Area including the North-South Innovative Axis according to the TOD model: New City, Bau Bang, Thu Dau Mot, Di An - Thuan An; developing the urban - industrial service belt along Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4; developing two ecological corridors along the Saigon River and Dong Nai River; redeveloping the urban - industrial - service area in the South; aiming at a development structure model including: 1 development axis; 2 ecological corridors; 3 Linking belts; 4 Dynamic centers; 5 development zones.

The southern area of Binh Duong including Di An City and Thuan An City will be transformed into regional service centers for trade and logistics services; the Thu Dau Mot City area will be fully developed into a support and innovation service center; the Ben Cat City - Tan Uyen City area will be fully developed into a modern industrial service urban model.
