TPO - The world is facing many major challenges, especially climate change, population growth pressure and depletion of natural resources. These issues directly affect agriculture and the ability to ensure food security.

On October 9, in Ho Chi Minh City, the 2024 National Scientific Conference took place with the theme "Sustainable agriculture for food security and food safety - AFS2024".

At the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Hong - Vice Principal of Nguyen Tat Thanh University - said that the world is facing many major challenges, especially climate change, population growth pressure, and depletion of natural resources. These issues directly affect agriculture and the ability to ensure food security.

According to Ms. Hong, Vietnam, especially the Mekong Delta region, is not outside of those impacts. Therefore, the requirement for developing sustainable agriculture is not only a trend but has become an urgent requirement to ensure the lives of millions of people, and also to protect the living environment for future generations.
