Accordingly, on May 24, schools from kindergarten to secondary school in District 4 will conduct enrollment at the beginning of the school year. Parents can register for enrollment online at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn , through the student's identification code.

In addition to giving priority to students whose current residence is in District 4, public schools in this district also admit students who wish to study in an area other than their actual residence.

Specifically, the District 4 Admissions Steering Committee will consider priority admission in the following order of special cases:

  • Students have completed preschool or primary school in the area.
  • Students whose parents work in the area (agencies and organizations located in the area).
  • Students whose "current residence" according to VNeID is in the boundary areas surrounding District 4.
  • Students transfer provinces.
  • Students in other cases are based on the remaining quota of the schools.

Also in the primary enrollment plan, District 4 People's Committee announced the enrollment regulations for grade 6 of Van Don Secondary School for the 2025-2026 school year with 310 targets, including 2 integrated English classes with 70 students and 6 general classes with 240 students.

The selection criteria for grade 6 at Van Don Secondary School are as follows: Primary schools in District 4 will select students according to the allocated number based on 2 criteria and consider scores from high to low until the quota is met. In special cases, Van Don Secondary School will be assigned to survey the students' learning ability to meet the school's learning environment.

Each primary school considers 15% of the total number of 5th grade students studying at the school, according to the following specific numbers:

Two selection criteria include:

  • Criterion 1: The total final score of the 2024-2025 school year for grade 5 includes 3 subjects: Math, Vietnamese, English (maximum 30 points). The English score for each skill must be 8 points or higher.
  • Criterion 2: Excellent results at the end of the school year: Each school year will be counted as 1 point (maximum 5 years will be 5 points). If the students in the last position of the target have the same total score, the primary school can consider 1 more highest achievement in 5 school years (from grade 1 to grade 5).

In particular, integrated grade 5 students of Nguyen Van Troi Primary School will be transferred to integrated grade 6 of Van Don Secondary School.
